Confused how you were able to use a credit card to pay the AOS fees. Doesn't USCIS only accept personal check or money order?

You can pay by credit  card also, you just have to insert the credit card authorization form with your packet.

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

I filled in form G-1450 -Authorization for Credit Cards Transactions.  Put in my cc#, and mailed it with AOS forms.  Word of caution though.  My first credit card company rejected the charge as fraudulent.  I had to resubmit, used another credit card and called them to warn them about the charge and all was well.  Bit it cost me 2 weeks processing time.

hello to all October filers!

I've been following September filers' thread all this time but i guess my place should be here :)

We sent our package on September 30 via UPS. Somehow it got transferred to USPS and i wasn't able to track the package on UPS website. This has almost killed me because I didn't know what was going on. Somehow I ran into information that small packages get transferred to USPS sometimes🤯

Anyway package was received on October 2

aaaand nothing since then😭

Hello! So I took a break from here to focus on the paper work and following the instructions they provided on the website, so i didn’t confuse myself. Came on here to double check what I had done. Only to see the 14th of October public charge deadline, and a few things we had to get done! So we rallied yesterday and got it into fedex with five minutes to spare!! Only to find out it’s been delayed 😂 but I don’t care because I finally submitted it!!! 🥳🥳🥳 the beginning of the end!! 🤩🤩 lets DO THIS!

We mailed our AOS package on October 5 using USPS Priority Mail Express with signature confirmation. The Texas Lockbox employee signed for our package on October 8. Nothing has happened in the 7 days since then; no charge to our credit card and no text/email notifications from the USCIS.

We are trying to be patient, but it seems like something should be happening by now. To all the other VJ members that are in a similar waiting situation, I just want you to know that you're not alone. We'll all get through this together.

My personal theory is that the delays are a result of some chaos in the USCIS due to the public charge rule being blocked.

Hi!

We filed and had a FedEx teaching receipt confirmation of 10/7 at the Chicago Lockbox. We haven’t heard anything either and haven’t had a charge on our credit card. Hopefully those of us who submitted around this time hear something soon. :)
