Hey everyone!

Couldn't take all this consulate drama anymore and decided out of the blue that I was going to see my SO. What a great trip! We had a ring ceremony for his parents, then the consulate opened and I fell in love with him all over again. What more could I ask for? We did go to the consulate Tuesday afternoon. They have these big blue dumpster type bins that occupy the lane of traffic closest to the consulate and they are filled with flowers. No one is allowed to walk on that side of the street. For those who have interviews coming up, there is guard station (for lack of a better way to describe it) across the street from the consulate. That is where they have to check in and be searched. Then they are sent to a waiting area on this dead end street behind this guard station. I was put in this line while I was waiting to gain entry into the consulate. Once the guards realized I was a USC, they took me right in. While I was waiting to talk to the CO, the guard inside called for 4 people to be brought over. They were escorted in and told where to go. I haven't read up on all the VJ posts, so forgive me if some, or any of this has been said. They are not to be more than 15 minutes early for their appointments and no bags or cell phones what so ever are allowed. I think that about covers it. If I think of anything else, I will post again here. I know so many of us are finally breathing again and can see the light at the end of the tunnel again. Gotta get to bed. Been a very long day traveling.

Glad you had a great trip and was able to do the ceremony and get to the consolate. Hope you had a great rest as I know when I returned it was hard to really sleep for awhile.

I went during the designated hours for USC's. I went to get clarification bc at some point I had heard that they would need to pay for the visa at a bank and wanted to know if that was true and if so, where. They said no, they pay here $100.

Sounds like a wonderful time! Just out of curiosity, how long of a plane ride is it to Morocco?

Unfortunately from knoxville tn it is anywhere from 18 to 24 hours in all. A really long trip. PS Just got back here Thursday...hooray
