When to book medical?

Hi! So our case is now in transit to the London embassy as of Oct 1st, we received an email from the NVC in the morning with our case number on it stating that it has been sent. I have a few questions.

 

1. When can we book the medical with Knightsbridge? Do we need to wait for London to receive our case or can we book it now while it’s in transit?

 

2. Does the email we received work as proof of our case number at the medical?
