Anyone of you received an email from Embassy about the questionnaire like, listing all the family members, their Date of Births, listing all your social media accounts , travel history and passport numbers (current and expired). I am also in AP since May 2019. I recently received such email.

My interview was on May 28, 2019.

My medical is expiring on Oct 26, 2019.

My immigrant visa type is EB2 (NIW): Employment based visa.

Is the questionnaire a good thing or bad?

Sounds like a DS-5535....meaning expect extended background checks.

Thank you geowrianHow long this extended background checks could take? Is every applicant for Immigrant visa is suppose to fill out the DS-5535.

There's no hard timeline. Some people it's a matter of a couple months (and some a matter of weeks) and some it's closer to a year. No way to know which one it will be.

The exact criteria to determine who gets the form is an unknown as well. That said, it is more common among people from or who lived in - or traveled to - certain countries (Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt, Iran, etc.), or those who have worked in certain fields (STEM, nuclear backgrounds, etc.). Pakistan is a very common one, in part because the PCCs are not trusted by the government.

Dear Agha,

I am also in the same situation, my interview held on 6th august, till that day status is still REFUSED, same they ask for Joint Sponsor which i submitted on 1st September, if you want to make sure Embassy received your documents than i give you the number which belongs to embassy customer service which tell you that Embassy received the documents on the particular date, but you need to follow the instructions over the phone which is Quite simple

Here is the number Call +92 21-111-234-111.

one more thing you need your full name, passport number & DOB

kindly just tell me visa officer marked on 2nd Option on 221g which is(additional A.p) required? just let me know

Hi, I was also interviewed on 6th of August , the CO took interview around 20 mins or so and asked plenty of questions, however at the end he give me 221g  asked to upload W-2 and proof of domicile. Although he saw the w-2 and said it’s perfect u just need to upload it on ceac, we will review it and then u are good to go.

He didn’t tick  any thing apart writing in red pen under general requirement heading for domicle and w-2 upload.

I submitted the documents on 19 th Aug till then I have received  2 updates one on 11 th sept and other on 4 th oct by itself . And status is same refused.

What is ur category ? And how many updates have u gotten updates  ? Expect for the updates u get when u inquire them.

Yes same thing happen to me, the CO also wrote with red pen for joint sponsor and prof of domicile, I heard that if the CO writes with red pen means the problem in the case, only Gog knows that's true or not? I have already uploaded my I-864 before the interview on CEAC website but there was the glitch on his system so i was so disappointed.

I also submitted my documents on 4th September, also got 2 updates, first on 4th Sep and second on 16th Sep(which was update because i sent inquiry. but the status still shows REFUSED since the interview.

I am also worried about my case, no idea the case is in A.P or REFUSED for the documents. May Allah help to all of us, Amaeen
