What’s the new USCIS page? I got updates today saying that my case was updated saying a biometric was taken but I never received biometric appointment. I filed last December, from Tacoma Washington

Hi!

The other page was: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/showSplash.do

Does it say case was received on the new uscis page?

Yes, same last updated date of 11/07 :(

Np! We also just signed up on the new page and it still says “case rec’d”.

Mine too. It never changed from last action taken 11/07. And biometrics were taken since December 13th.

Hi Folks, my status was changed to "Name was updated" a couple of days ago. At first I freaked out... then did some research and it looks like a "by default" status whenever the case is being looked at. Trying not get my hopes too high, but could this mean approval with no interview soon? I hope I didn't jinx myself by saying this!

My case was received beginning of October. I was never even asked to come in for biometrics so I haven’t heard from them since submitting my documents and receiving the extension letter. I know I likely won’t be asked for biometrics at all anymore since this happens to a few cases just don’t understand why they made me pay for biometrics it they never even take mine.

Just crossing my fingers that everything is okay because I feel like I belong to the very few who haven’t had biometrics.

Which service center? I am at SRC and 10 months and no biometrics. It’s also depends if you had any kind of other background check like for a job or for Global Entry maybe in the past 12 months. In this case your fingerprints may be “fresh” and this is why you won’t need them. But it’s just my opinion...

WRC and it’s been 8 months for me.
No background check for my job, there was one for my lease but they didn’t take fingerprints or anything, just the simple check. No global entry application or anything besides that. 🙄

Very encouraging to see some approvals,  We filed in October 2019, Fingerprints taken in Nov 2019, and no word since.  I check the uscis website often,  no changes from "Fingerprints received on.."    I even went to the new site, and it simply says case received.   We are at MSC the Nation benefits center.   I sure hope things go quickly.   Good luck to ya'll too.

And just like that, my status changed to "Interview ready to be scheduled"... bit of a bummer, I expected "approved", but oh well. Wonder how long this is going to take from now on?

What is the exact wording? The following means you are in-line for an interview to be scheduled. It has not yet been scheduled.

"We are ready to schedule your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, for an interview"

Depending on your local office, it may be scheduled in few days to few months. But COVID closures have put everything into disarray. It is hard to know when things may smooth out.

As of yesterday my status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" MSC center here. My case was received on Oct 7 and Fingerprints taken on Nov 19, I hope they schedule it soon so I can be done with this. I live in a small state (Wyoming) so hopefully they don't have a huge backlog.

Seems like they’re starting to get back into the swing at msc. My husband’s case was just updated as well, but it’ll probably be another few months before the interview.

SRC case update. We missed 2 letters for biometric appointment due to missing Apt # and had to reschedule our appointment 3 times. (b/c of internal error our Apt # wasn't entered into their bio appointment scheduling system)

Every time we miss our date, it took them 6 weeks to reschedule another one. 3+ e-request inquiries never fixed this mistake, and tbh our last appointment letter send in the email was still missing our Apt #.  We were getting conflicting info from different USCIS customer reps. They were  hesitant to transfer to lvl 2 reps, most of the time lines were too busy for a lvl 2 transfer and we had to wait for next business day. While some were rude and sometimes useless (simply giving us w/ case history info that we already knew), we finally got to a lvl 2 rep who actually listened/cared and sent us email copy of our bio appointment letter, yet again with missing Apt #. (even though lvl 1 rep transferring us insisted they can't send anything over the email)

Just be patient and consistent!

Hi all! I suddenly got approved 😄 Was not expecting it at all yet. October filer too. I even forgot about it to be honest with everything going on. Was not expecting it for another 6 months/year. I got the approval letter Tuesday and the updated greencard yesterday! I am an SRC filer btw, filed the end of October, biometrics in December.

Apparently I was on top of the pile when they came back in.
