I got my extension with WAC receipt, does that mean I won’t have to go for an interview?

Can anyone tell me. Since MSC prepares the ones that needs interview.

Thanks

I’m not sure if we’ll get an interview, but I was just basing it on what JessieABC said. But I guess it’s a good thing if we do, because those who were scheduled for an interview right away received their 10 year green card in approximately 6 months.

Seems like my NOA is en route to be delivered today!

According to USCIS, msc  refers to Missouri and will most likely require an interview. Saw some other forums chains where everyone at msc was required to go.

Any thoughts? Below quoted from USCIS site in 2012:

The NBC was founded in 2001 in Lee's Summit, Missouri and was originally called the Missouri Service Center (which is why receipt notices from the NBC will begin with the letters “MSC”). The NBC's primary mission is to prepare applications for adjudication that require an interview at a USCIS Field Office.

Thank you! It's the MSC Receipt #, so National Benefits Center.

National Benefit Center is pretty fast. I was there for Adjustment of status and it was really good. Now we are at California Service Center WAC and I guess we will wait a lot.

Wow! That's a long time.

I found a page that someone posted on another group for all LIN filers. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Buo_drIy4zaCFZUULdT_L9JrA6YZgrVtt7Cj6nUsvv0/edit#gid=0

Seems like the average for them has been 9-10 months for approval. And September filers are just now getting their biometrics appointments. Hopefully we luck out with a shorter wait than that but it helps see the processing times in Nebraska. For now we can just expect to have our appointments somewhere in February next year.

I hope so.  In general, N-400 is just around the corner (if you plan on doing so). By the time we get approvals, we start another wait!  What a luck we have!

Doing biometric now, or next year wouldn't change your timeline. If you do the biometric now, they will just sit in the web for months until an officer open your case 9-12 months after NOA. Just relax, it is not unusual that they don't send a biometric request for months. Just make sure you are not missing any document in the mail
