I was an LPR when I filed I-130 on September 2002. I got the approval April 2005. My husband got his visa on March 27, 2006.

But I became a citizen around August 2005. We were already on the affidavit of support stage when I upgraded my petition to "Spouse of U.S. Citizen"

hi i was just wondering... I got confused... bcoz as of now ive seen in the website of the USCIS it shows that the priority is March 2002.. how come ur husband was approved earlier than expected? Urs was filed September 2002...

Nevertheless it made me feel better to know that it may take earlier than 4 yrs!!!

hope for ur response. it would be highly appreciated

If you file as an LPR and subsequently get citizenship, you can upgrade the original petition and an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available.

They move around, not a linear process.

The timeline is theoretical as anything over 5 years a LPR could obtain Citizenship first and then there is no wait time.

I was just going thru the USCIS website link ( https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Proc...ceCenter=Texas) for Texas processing times for LRP I-130 for bringing spouse and in this there is no mention for I-130 times. So does that mean they have stopped processing LPR-I-130 applications ? and are they be routed to CSC or VSC etc whcih do show them processing Jan and Oct 2005. :)

The thing is we are going to be filing from TSC and my wife is GC holder from India, so we were just wondering now may be, just may things will move faster :( . anyone can shed more light on it. !!!!
