Hi guys I'm planning to file N400 by the end of October. I've lived in the US for more than 5 years and also have been married to the same US citizen for more than 5 years. I am confused which category I should apply based on. Thanks!

If your greencard was based on the marriage and you have had it for atleast 2yrs 9 months, you can file based on the 3 yr marriage rule

If you had the greencard based on marriage and have had it for 4yrs 9 months, then you can apply based on 3 or 5 yr rule (5 yr preferred)

Living in the US is not the same as being an LPR. You need to be a LPR for 3 years (if married to the same spouse) or an LPR for 5 years. If you have been an LPR for more than 5 years, you use that one.

Filed mine online 10/22. Says 6 days until I hear about when bio appt is. Estimated 7 months overall process. That sound about right?

Check  your account, mine was there in a few days and the letter was posted there the next day. I just received the actual letter in the mail yesterday.

the estimation wait is based on location, I think yours is actually moving faster than mine. My estimation process says 12 months and I already received my appt for Nov 4, did you get yours?

My USCIS account says 4 days until I find out my bio appointment. I'm thinking it will be a couple of weeks after getting the notice - seems to be what happens in most cases.
