Gotta love USCIS. The estimated wait time now says 18 days :)

 

 

Hopefully they will schedule the interview faster than that.

You will be lucky if you get your interview scheduled in 18 days as they said.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

You are correct my friend. The last step of the ladder. Good luck. I checked mine it says 5 days today but I am not expecting anything soon. Someone from NH same office as me is still waiting although his estimated time wait passed over 10 days now.

One thing I have learned in this immigration process is that cases are not reviewed in order they are received and it's pretty random. 

Is the local office scheduling the interviews or the National Benefits Center?

Yes you are correct. I am really not sure who schedules the interviews.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Completed my biometrics yesterday - it took me less than 10 minutes from the moment I parked. The original Estimated case completion time was June 2020 and now the Estimated wait time is 6 Month (May 2020).

That said my understanding is that biometrics are assigned to the closest physical office to you (My assigned office is Charlotte, NC -2h drive, but I was sent for biometrics to Greer, SC-1 h drive).

The rest should be at your assigned office, but could be moved if there is a backlog there.

 

edit: also if you haven't, register for an online account with uscis, that’s where you get the wait times, which very much depend on field offices. https://my.uscis.gov

I am down at 15 days. My office is closed on Wednesday and since Thursday is a holiday there are two more working days this week for them. :)
