What day did they receive your petition? They said that they got mine on 10/17/19.

I called them a week after they received my case and they had a number but they happened to email it to me early.

Thank you for sharing this link, this is very helpful, however this doesn't answer my questions though, but still thank you for the link. From the link that you provided it says that the Civil documents should be uploaded first before AOS and financial documents. Now it got me confused.  I paid both AOS and IV fee at the same time but until now the IV section still says in-process and the start button is still grayed-out. I already uploaded all financial documents on CEAC but have not clicked the submit button because I was wondering if I have to submit both AOS and IV documents all at the same time OR I can go ahead and submit AOS and financial documents now and just wait for the IV section to be accessible. Thank you

I would tell you based on what I have read that you can submit the AOS documents but your package is not considered complete until the civil documents have been received.  They will review your case when all documents are considered complete.

My NOA2 was approved on the 22 of August and sent out to NVC on the 28th, I called four weeks later and was told that they received the case on the 17th of September, but  have not processed it yet into the system and to just wait. On the 9th of October I called to check and was told to wait, but on the next day I have received and email with my case number (It was probably a coincidence, but still, sounds like anyway it is close to two months these days after the NOA 2 approval). I never received anything in the mail. But as far as email, both me and my husband have received it on the email addresses that we indicated in the I-130 paperwork. Good luck!!!

Congratulations!!!!! that is exciting to hear. Sounds like NVC are being active and this is a really cool date on the interview 😀

Hey dear NVC buddies, has anyone here encountered an "application error" when trying to open application? NVC asked me to resubmit the document, but when I try to even open application for Affidavit of Support, it keeps telling me "application error". I have tried all other possible browsers, cleared cache, submitted inquiry on the state.gov site, but nothing and everyday it is the same for four days. When I called NVC they basically said that they don't know and tough luck that it happened to my case, didn't seem like anyone is going to do anything about it, as it is just my application. Has anyone here had that happen and what did you do that helped?  I would so appreciate any help, as it has been 14 months since my NOA1 and I would hate getting stuck at this stage for no good reason. Thank you!!!!!

Elena it seems we were in the same process the crazy thing is that my case was approved at TSC on 21 Aug and received at NVC on the 18th of Sept.  I received my case number on 1 Oct, I do not understand what took yours so long to get to you.

We got our case number today, the issue now is we were only able to pay the visa fees but nowhere to click to pay AOS fees. Please has anyone experienced this? Or are we suppose to pay that later?

I just paid my fees on the 1st and I was able to pay the both the same day. The only thing I noticed was that you cannot pay together.  I am assuming because the fees go to two separate locations .

Just found out that our docs were submitted today, so I guess the next wait begins!

That being said, does anyone know how to view AOS and financial evidence docs once they've been submitted? I want to make sure our lawyer didn't make any mistakes (and get on top of them now if they did rather than waiting 6 weeks for them to be rejected) but when I try to view them they all say "this document cannot be viewed because it contains sensitive information". Would it work if my husband logged in since it is technically his "sensitive information" that is in the docs?

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

JUST RE-POSTING BECAUSE OF NO RESPONSES THE FIRST TIME AROUND 😀

Is it a bad thing if you have submitted too many documents via CEAC?

We were asked for 2018 tax returns despite submitting proof of extension. We complained and made an appeal of sorts....So they accepted the extension letter and said they wanted to to see proof of employment for my sponsors and petitioner (they really know how to torture people).

So we submitted full 2018 tax returns and transcripts for sponsors + signed letters from employers verifying their employment.  And Submitted a copy of my petitioners tax return + a scanned copy of the the US Mail return receipt (because it was paper filed)

Is this too much? I know this sounds silly, but we have been submitting docs since May...so I am little on edge.

I guess my question is...if there is anything that is unnecessary, but they have everything they need will we not get DQ?

As always, we are grateful for your thoughts/experience

After being stuck in Nebraska for nearly a full year (363 days to be exact) I'm so glad this part moved so quickly. I hope everyone else whos waiting for their DQ hears something soon!

If he’s still making ~$16k a year then a joint sponsor will still most likely be required, assuming its just you two he must meet ~$21k+ a year of current income regardless what time of year it is

he is making more than $21k a year, the 2019 he is only working for 5 mos.

good to know our options.

thanks a lot

We uploaded pretty much everything you did, except for the health insurance information. Just like you, I’m not sure if we should wait to see what the officer says or try to find a sponsor ASAP.

I have another question: after you get cc, can you still upload files at ceac? I mean, do you know how we are supposed to send an eventual joint sponsors’s form and documents to the consulate? Thank you a lot in advance.

what we are doing we'll just bring the joint sponsor for the interview, cos we are just starting to find one. they just want to make sure that the applicants wont be a public charge, so i'll just do my best to provide all the finamcial from hubby, before the affidavit from join sponsor

after cc i think they just gonna send the doc to the consulars, you can upload more before the packages go, but it will take more time, starting all over again

just to clarify: so we print out the i864, get the joint sponsor to sign it and take his/her documents directly to the interview? no need to upload it anywhere else? thank you so much again

if we can find one.. if not maybe our case pending till jan 2020, the new tax year

It likely means there's something missing: information or document.
