Hey!

My wife and I are currently uploading our docs on CEAC. We realized we might need a joint sponsor after all. Does anyone know if we could use a friend or relative of mine living in the US as a joint sponsor, me being the intending immigrant/beneficiary? Or is it only the friends and family of my wife, the petitioning sponsor?

joint sponsor doesn't need to be related. He or she must: Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or U.S. national who is at least 18 years of age, and.

My husbund will sponsor me without joint sponsor. What AOS form should my husband fill up I-1864 or I-1864EZ. Thank you.

I did fill our both just in case. So I uploaded the I-184EZ in the other/Additional documents and wrote a comment saying that I was not sure which form should I fill out so I completed both  so NVC can use the correct one.

I did it like this so I avoid the RFE. I am the petitioner and i am sponsor my spouse without joint sponsor. All my docs were accepted in 24 hours  and I got DQ in 48 hours.  Than after that i expedite the case.

There are guidelines on the NVC website that details which specific AOS you need to fill out based on your case.

if your husband is your only sponsor and he meet the requirements he needs to fill the I-864EZ.

Hi guys, i have asked this question on the main forum as well. I am a Canadian Pakistani. I live in Canada now.  I was Born in Pakistan. Now for the DS 260 question what do i put it there ? Country of origin/ Nationality Pakistan or Canada?  I am at the NVC stage with interview in Montreal.  I am getting confused for this question. If someone can answer that.

If you are a Canadian citizen and have Canadian passport, you add CANADA as nationality country and add your Canadian passport details.
