Anyone interviewing after Nov 3rd? How are you planning to prove health insurance? My wife would be covered by my employer insurance but I don’t think I can add her until she’s LPR.

Wondering the same thing...

I got a letter from work on company letterhead signed by HR indicating that all full time employees, their spouses and dependents are eligible for health insurance.  My wife's interview is on the 5th so we'll see how it goes.

In the presidential proclamation guidelines it says they will accept traveler insurance valid for at least 364 days, so that's what we're doing.

My spouse is also sending me her insurance paperwork from her job, but they can't add me until I come to the US. So I'm taking both to the interview. Might be overkill, but beyond it being a requirement now, I don't want to worry about what might happen if I have an emergency before I get added to her insurance. My interview isnt until the 26th though, anyone who has it first please report back!

...check with employer/benefit policies...

your marriage is a qualifying life event to change your coverage; the only question is what is the time period per your benefits package and/or HR department.

I added my spouse as a covered individual, which took effect the first of the month following our marriage. They don't *need* a SSN to have health coverage.

Visa has arrived! 🎉 No envelope as it's electronic so that is nice. 😄 To all of those who are still waiting, your time will come soon! Your patience will be rewarded. To those who have their interview soon, be prepared and don't worry too much. If your intentions are good, you are truthful and prepared then there will be no problems for you whatsoever.

Great news...congratulations and thanks for the encouragement 👏

My husband had his interview at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala today and he was approved. He left with an approved i-601a waiver, which was scary, but all went well thank God. We are currently waiting for his passport with the visa.

Congrats ❤️ I hope you have a happy life together.

Quick question to those who already had their interviews, did you take the ORIGINAL I-864 form? Or can I take a scanned copy that was uploaded to CEAC? I guess we can always get it mailed, but it's expensive and I'd rather avoid it if copies of the scans are okay.

I brought a scanned version and that was completely fine.

My husband had his interview today. We downloaded the signed Affidavit of support that we submitted to NVC. His immigrant visa was approved today. I think you only need a new signed one if it's been a year. The copy should be fine.
