It also depends on the category of Visa filled for you....IR1 or CR1 Visa filled by a us citizen is unlimited throughout the year while F2A Visa filled by a green card holder or LPR is Limited each year...

It’s an IR2 and it’s an expedited case too because of the Child Citizenship Act. But I’ll be 18 soon

R u not suppose to schedule the interview yourself?? Expedite cases don’t sit and wait for IL like the normal cases.

Well I thought that too but I got this in the last email.

“The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.”

And I have called but they said it’s because of the volume of cases in Lagos.

The official term is documentarily qualified- DQ. Some people just say case complete or CC as an easy way of saying DQ. We all get the same email saying your Visa immigrant case is documentarily qualified. Just means that the case is complete and waiting for Interview to be scheduled.

Hello, Just checking with you. Have you heard or seen anyone receiving IL for August? May be you can ask those girls who received IL from July DQ?  I still have not received anything yet

It's better you forward a call to get things right

Hi Ogbeni,

I finally got through to someone after a 1.5hr long wait on hold. So the lady told me to wait until Monday to see whether my Mom gets an interview date as my dad. She said the "system" tries to schedule interviews together for cases that were filed together based on embassy "availability/load". Also, if i dont hear anything by monday to give them a call so they can expedite my mom's case to go with my dad.

It sounds to me that it's the computer that randomly schedules interviews at these embassies/consulates. So I'll wait to hear something

Interesting... I haven’t seen anyone post on VJ/update their timeline about receiving IL from the accra embassy for November interview dates.

I wonder if they are done scheduling for the month? 🤔

That's better...if don't hear anything before Monday, then do as you've been told...

It will end in praise..

We had our interview today and we got approved!!

I(petitioner) attended the interview at the embassy in El Salvador with my wife(beneficiary) and it went pretty smooth.

They asked us how we met, when we met, if all of her trips to the US were with a tourist visa, why we got married in the US, and they wanted to see pictures of the wedding. They didn't ask a question about my AOS documents.

Then the officer told us "Your visa is approved".

I am so glad we are almost done(I know this doesnt end until we are finally at our home in the US but it feels like we are almost done).

I wish all of you good luck in your journey!

Wow...congrats to you both

Congratulations.

This is the beginning of more glad tidings to come your way.
