That makes sense. I never thought about it that way. Then the good quality time portion will be a little difficult for us

But good quality time is needed for this embassy

some,  like me, spend months

i had 5 visits

2   1 month visits

2    3 month visits

and the 2 month visit to marry

Affidivats from people are not the best proof / only if immigration asks for this kind of proof  (example is in my RFE i was told to prove i had told my mother i would marry and the only way to do this was an a notarized affavidat)

I know it is hard to take time off especially as at the same time you need to stay above the poverty limits for the support agreement but immigration and that embassy expect to see lots of facetime

and getting married is the best way to go (my opinion as been there ,  done that)

still read the portal for Nigeria

Your handle nanna is common for a grandmother to be called , is there a large age difference between the two of you ?   Being Nigeria  I could have sworn statements about how great your relationship is and never have met you.  Fraudsters there are not ashamed of creating any paper.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. I married my wife at the registry on my first visit. Sent in my petition. Went back a second time for the traditional. From filing the petition to approval was 10 month. She is here with me now. Go the CR1 route.

My other half and I are trying to decide which is best to apply for, the fiance Visa or the spousal Visa. He lives in Nigeria and I live in the US. We want to get married soon but I know I would have to wait a long time before he comes to the US. I guess I am afraid of the fiance Visa because my friend waited one year and a half for her fiance to get an interview, the day of his interview, he was denied. Now she has to do the process all over again. She wishes she had completed the spousal Visa instead because she waited for almost the same wait time as the spousal. So I am a little scared. And of course family members have their own opinions🙄. I want him to come now but I'm afraid that the wait time will be just as long as the spousal Visa. Fiance Visa: he will come soon... hopefully. Spousal Visa: he comes in and ready to start working. Im so confused😫. We don't know what to do. Can someone please give me some insight? Why did you choose the fiance or spousal Visa?

K1 is a waste of time IMO. Go for spousal

I tried to access your timeline but you do not have one. I wanted to see what you decided to do. A timeline helps those of us that want to opine to your question and it also is for the good of the VJ community so the stats that we access describes the current "climate" among applications. Here is a little gif to help you create your timeline without much fanfare.
