It's literally only us? Lol. I called them the other day. They told me to enjoy wanting another 55 days until they can submit an inquiry as we are still within "normal processing times".  I explained that they're processing November petitions. This is the most irritating governmental process I've encountered and I've worked for them for over 15 years.

That is really frustrating

Can I share somethings with you'll that I learned long ago about this process

  • "the man with the gold makes the rules" and
  • it will take as long as it will take
  • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
  • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
  • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

I hope for your sake that your process goes much faster then when my group went through. Even GC took over a year when it was suppose to take 6 months. I've walked this road before and I know what it is like. Good luck on your journey

I think the truly difficult thing to digest is that people who filed way after you are approved before you. It just doesn’t seem right.

However, there is a reason for that. It’s just the process lol. It’s not really fair, but then again, life in general isn’t really fair. It feels like you’ve been forgotten and left behind while everyone else is celebrating. There are both pros and cons to being part of social media. That is definitely a con.

It’s even more difficult for us because I am waiting to schedule my next trip until we have our interview scheduled. One of the reasons I was not able to attend our interview last time is because the process actually went much faster than we expected. I took a trip in March thinking we wouldn’t be approved until June or July and we were approved in April. It was too soon for me financially to make a return trip.

Now it’s the complete opposite haha. I’m learning that we are not in control and all we can do is wait - no matter how frustrating it is.

I am curious..

Are there officers who specifically focus on I-129F petitions or all officers work on all types of cases?
