Well the USCIS just helped me out in a HUGE way... they just texted me to check my  case...

NOA2- Feb 13th

 

 

This will make for the best V-Day gift i can give her tomorrow morning when she wakes.

Does anyone use visa tracker apps out there?

 

I just downloaded 3 to see if any of them could give me any hits - and I got one!!

 

"Notifier for USCIS Cases" is the name of the app in the Google Play store and it says "Case was approved" on January 29, 2020 and that I should be receiving notification by February 13 (today!) from USCIS - but nothing yet???  I'm signed up to receive text and email for notifications..  It gave instructions to go to USCIS.gov/e-request if I haven't received anything by today - so I did that and received an email back saying that the processing is within their current processing time? 

 

How long does it normally take to be notified of approval?  If it was truly approved on 1/29/20, wouldn't they update the USCIS website by now?  Is this app giving me a false-positive??

Try these.

Old site (also the data source for all 'USCIS case tracker' apps): https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do 
New : https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ (you have to create an account and add your case # to it) 
Neither is more reliable (and it's very possible you won't see anything on either, and will have to just wait for the physical mail). For a while it looked like they were phasing out the "old" site, but that trend seems to have reversed itself and there are still lots of cases that show up on only one (or much earlier on one than the other). 
We can't opine on which is more accurate. Your mileage may vary.

I have been using the old site since I submitted in October - that is where I've been checking daily/weekly and it shows no movement. 

 

Just went to the 2nd one and it is asking me to create an account, but I already have a USCIS account for checking the other site. *Note: the original website uses a "Username" to log in and the 2nd uses my email.   It specifically states "One account for all of your USCIS needs." - so now it wants me to create a 2nd account?  Also - I just received an email from trying to log into that account using my established email and password stating that my account is "locked" for 20 minutes - but it was't ever accepted as an account on that site??

Same Here. I saw online status update but received nothing yet.

I didn't get an email or text notice.  If was not checking my status online everyday I would not have known I was approved until the NOA2 hard copy showed up in the mail.  It took 5 days for the hard copy to arrive after my online status said approved.

All the sites are hit or miss when it comes to notifications. I trust the app as it seems to be more right then wrong. If you want to use the site and it asked you to sign up using a different machination then what you already have, I supposed you'll have to sign up to use it. If not just skip it. It's still a waiting game.

I have never checked the other website mentioned above; the first one has been accurate about my rfe ship date and received date. Please update us when you receive the approval in mail. Thanks

Finally got approved today! Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Sent I-129F: Sept. 30, 2019

NOA1: Oct. 8, 2019

NOA2: Feb 14, 2020 (130 days) found out from the case tracker app since I check it every day. No text/email yet.
