Congratulations!! Just one thing:) is your NOA1 the 3rd of October or the 26th of September:) ?

Thank you!  I was counting Oct. 3 but it's actually sept. 26 as I understand Greenbaum's explanation. So it's 109 days.

Received notice for RFE just now.

Waiting for the letter to see what the next step is... I had a feeling as we left spaces blank instead of writing n/a.

Oh well, there's a first time for everything, right? 😊

Edit: Does anybody happen to know what the average processing time between RFE and NOA2 would be?

2 to 3 weeks. YMMV

I will be watching for your follow up RFE post.  I can't believe they RFE'd you for leaving blank spaces if the question didn't apply to you.  I seen an example of a properly filled out I-129F here and it did not have any n/a's on the form.

Maybe @Greenbaum or @sarge can comment about the n/a's.

For NOA1 date, it should be quite literally date of Notice listed on your NOA1 form (I-797C) From what I gather "old" site uses "date received" which is also listed on your NOA1 form, but that is date when they got your I-129f package, not the date when NOA1 was actually issued.

I am a December filer, just reading and learning from you guys.  And wishing you guys good luck, of course!

I guess I made a mistake in our NOA1 date also.  Thanks for the info...

Hmm, do you know for sure that that is the reason of the RFE? I only used N/A in a spot or 2. Some of the questions are clear. For instance, the moment you answer no to a question, they're not going to look for n/, n/a, n/a below if that makes sense. But I could be wrong. That woud be MY logic. 😄

27 NOV 2019 - I-129F mailed to Dallas, TX Lockbox

Here is a calculator that I have found invaluable in determining the number of days between two dates.

https://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html

For their case it's

From and including: Thursday, September 26, 2019
To, but not including Monday, January 13, 2020

Result: 109 days

It is 109 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date.

Or 3 months, 18 days excluding the end date.

Thank you :)

Normally that is not the issue. More times and not it's because a box wasn't checked or a document (even if it was with the original package) is required/missing. N/A's is not the issue.

This is what happens when someone speculates on what the issue is without the knowledge gleaned from the RFE. There are hundreds of reasons why one would get and RFE and N/A's usually are not the reason as they are not required. Of course, you can always have a long USCIS agent who requests that you complete with N/A's but I have never seen it.

Here on VJ, they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE.

Here is the link to the RFE thread:

Here is the link to the actual document in google docs:

Here is what happens on your end. The original is the copy you receive in the mail. Read it carefully and answer what they are asking for. You don't have to do anymore then what is outlined within the RFE. Sign the RFE and make copies of everything you'll put in the return envelope. These copies will remain yours. Seal the envelope and return to the address that is specified in the RFE. Be sure to send it back so that you can trace it. Be sure your response is returned in the allotted time contained within the RFE.

Hello, I'm confused. I just want to ask about my k1 packet. Do we need to include police clearance there or just in an interview only? I didn't put any police clearance there and imbra or criminal history (there is no criminal history), I suddenly thinking it right now hahahhaha  because I'm scared to get RFE because it might add weeks to my Visa's processing time hahahha . Thank you!
