@Greenbaum dont mean to bother you, but do you possibly have Australia?

Yes I do. Here you go:

Read over this information and follow the instructions:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DKRc5bBmpL5fesrMAP1RRLwucTnjOB6Y/view?usp=sharing

Join the sub forum for Australia found here

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/146-australia-and-new-zealand/

Embassy website

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/146-australia-and-new-zealand/

Last go to the top of this page and under the tab "portals" on the blue ribbon choose it and then search for your country. Lots of information there.

When executing your AFP be sure you use "You would choose the Commonwealth employment/Purpose for your Purpose Type and then Code 33 for Immigration/Citizenship as your Purpose of Check."

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

@Greenbaum Do you have the the p3 for Madrid, Spain? 😊 If not I’ll make sure to give you what they send me. There aren’t many active users for Spain... at least the embassy does get a couple of useful reviews

Spain requires the embassy send the packet 3 which allows the beneficiary to schedule and attend the medical and needs to be brought to the medical appointment, and in order to book the interview Spain requires packet 4. I have not verified this but this information came from someone who processed recently.

A wet signature is not required for the I-134 that will be presented at the interview.

Procedure for Obtaining: For information about how to request the” Certificado de Antecedentes Penales” you can visit the following web page mjusticia.gob.es.

Things are sure moving quite fast. Timeline as follows Pacific Time

  • NVC received Oct-25 (called 29th for our case #)
  • CEAC Status at NVC Oct 30
  • CEAC Status in Transit Oct 31 2pm
  • CEAC Status Ready Oct 31 7pm

It's actually making us a bit worried about receiving the GZ P3 packet and requiring a response from her too soon. We have Christmas plans in the states so hope we can postpone interviews until she returns to China after the new year.

You have 4 months from your NOA2 to complete the interview. Some embassies will extend with an valid reason. I'm not sure "we wanted to spend Christmas together" is a valid reasoning. If she gets everything needed for the interview prepared before she leaves for the states and schedules the interview for sometime in January then I think you will be OK.

According to the PDF file I read that you could complete it at anytime after your receive your case number and before you pay your interview fee and schedule the interview. Since I am the author of the PDF file then I believe it's time to work on the DS-160. :) PDF file is on the first page of this thread and in the second post.

That's correct. It can be saved but must be touched every 30 days or it will go in the round file.

Anthony -

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hi, I got my NOA2 one day before you did :) however, so far my fiancé wasn’t able to get through when calling the NVC. So we haven’t received a case number yet. Seeing your timeline gives me hope that our case also got a case number and shipped to the consulate!! Thank you 🙏🏽 how did you get to know that your case was received by the consulate? That was really fast!! The website never updated on our case, it still says „case received“, same goes for the app, so I really don’t know how to track the status. Did you receive a letter from the consulate? Good luck for your case!! :)

@Leah88

I received an email from NVC 2 days after I called saying that the case is being transferred to the embassy. I used the NVC Case Number and checked the status on ceac.state.gov and the status there shows Ready. I was on hold after dialing the NVC 603 number for about an hour before I got through to an agent.
