Decreeabsolute with a judges signature. You need to fill in a form, D-160 which is available online to print and send it completed along with your decree absolute to Bury St Edmunds, the divorce court. I actually called the courts and explained my situation. They were most helpful in explaining what I needed to do. Signed certificate will be back within 3 weeks.

Ask London specific questions in the UK forum and you won't get answers from another country who may have different procedures at the embassy stage. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

Hi @Greenbaum, is there a place where we can find these P3s so we don't have to keep asking you?

I am still a little confused about DR, as it seems we don't really have a P3 since they don't really have a mail system?

I have seen on other threads that there was a wiki with information, but the links seem broken when I try to click on them.

Thanks!

I did a very stupid thing last night.  I got a little overexcited about receiving the NOA2 in the mail and decided to use my enthusiasm to go and try to work on the DS160 and fees page

My fiance had applied (and gotten denied) for a tourist visa in the past, and somehow with all the excitement (and confusion) I actually paid the fee for the fiance visa application, using his tourist visa receipt number.  It says clear as day on the site that everything must match and no refunds, sooooo pretty much, $265 down the drain.

Lesson....I needed (and need to) slow down!! I am trying to just laugh at myself and not beat myself up further.  Now, I will patiently wait until I can get my number from the NVC, so that the DS160 can be sent accurately.  🤯

Called up NVC tonight and was put on hold for almost an hour. Right before they close for the night it got through to a very nice lady and she informs me that our case was received on the 25th.  With 2 weeks processing it should be mailed out second week of November! Very exciting

Oh no!! This process is expensive enough as it is... I feel for you! The good thing is, even if it’s difficult to wait, you’re almost at the finish line 😊

Has anyone got their Case ships to assign us embassy today? Mine hasn't shows in transit yet it might be because Haiti's us embassy is not in function right now due to civil protesters.

I don't have the P3 instructions for your Embassy. If and when you get a copy if you could share with me then I would be able to share with others who come behind you.  Here are a few things that I did find the can be used as a primer.

From the Serbia Embassy's website: Interviews are by appointment only! You will receive an appointment when you have submitted your notice of readiness confirming that you have all the required paperwork in your possession. Embassy Belgrade will notify you of your interview date and time and paying the MRV application fee by an appointment letter.

Required Documentation

You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:

  • Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview.
  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
  • Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor
  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
  • Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
  • Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
  • Two (2) 2x2 photographs. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements
  • Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)
  • Payment of fees, as explained below

Note: The consular officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated. Applicants should take to the visa interview clear, legible photocopies of civil documents and translations, such as birth and divorce certificates. Original documents and translations will be returned.

No there isn't a depository of P3's anywhere. I took it upon myself to start collecting them. Though I do not have every embassy I have those that are the busiest or those that VJ'rs took the time to send me a copy.  Here is yours.

Your observation maybe correct. But, they ship on Tuesday and Wednesday as outlined in the "Buckle your seat belt" post I made earlier in the thread and the PDF file states the same. The correct way to use a thread is to take the time to read from the beginning so you are up to date with the discussions and the answers to the same question you just asked.

Also, many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

It's the part that you have to keep them updated or they are worthless if they are stale. Again, my information is only as good as those who feel thankful and give back to others. The selfish ones can go to H _ _ _!

Thanks for your recognition.

Others have and said to hang up immediately if it doesn’t ring, and call right back until it rings. It might take many tries and then you have to hold for an hour or longer.
