October 2019 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY

Just wanted to provide an update. My fiancé had his interview yesterday. The ASC or CAS (biometrics) did not provide a letter only a sticker on the back of his visa and at first they were denying him entrance to the consulate building (female sitting by main building door). He insisted he was not given a letter and she insisted that he was. He was told to go back to ASC and get the letter.  But he saw another person with the same situation and he spoke to another security guard and he scanned the sticker and allowed him in. He got to the line at 8:30am and came out at 1:15pm! I was waiting at Starbucks across the street!  He got approved!!! YEYYYYYY!!!! 

 

Now the waiting game begins for the actual visa....

Most likely! Im just going by when I got an email from Sydney Consulate and my fiance saw the ready status! It may not align  perfectly but all within a few hours

Gotcha. That's super exciting! I wonder when his appointment date will be. What are you guys hoping for?

Thank you! We are hoping for end of December or January at the lastest... we have to file for AOS as soon as he gets here so we can apply for advance parole in order to go to back to Australia for his sisters wedding in June!

Oh my! Thats quite a tight schedule! I hope it works out!

How are you guys planning your wedding on such a small window of time to plan?

Cancelled interview due to sputum test. I was just checking ceac.state.gov to see if there were any status updates. Our status changed from READY to AP even though we cancelled the interview few days before the interview date. Has anyone experienced this before?

Funny thing about the visa process. Millions have experienced what you are experiencing. Your case is fine. No need to worry. AP is a condition that is the DEFAULT for anything that any agency is working on. So no need to concern yourself.
