Congratulations!!!

Btw, I asked for my Invoice ID # and he wouldn't give it to me. He said I didn't need it. Lol. I wish he would've anyway.

He is right, but it doesn't negate the fact that you asked and it really is not a TOP SECRET number so why not give it to you. Oy Vey.

@Greenbaum

Do we have to wait till we get P3 to schedule interview or we can book it once the case is ready ?

And wonder that weather you have the P3 link or file for Taiwan?

Thank you

Ok y'all quick update and detailed account of my NVC call: My NOA2 date is 10/23. Called NVC today and got my case #! I called 33 times in a row. Each time there was an automated message that ended in saying that they were experiencing high call volumes and to call back. Found a tip on the forums that said if you hear a ring (normally the message would start immediately without ringing) press 1 once the system answers (for English). I didn't wait to listen for the options--just pressed 1 right away. That worked and sent me into the automated system. I pressed 7 (for all other questions) and sat on hold doing other tasks for 53 minutes. A human answered and asked for a case or receipt number. I gave him my USCIS receipt number. He asked me to confirm my information, name & DOB. And asked how he could help. I said I'd like to confirm receipt of my case and get my case number. He said, "get a pen and a piece of paper and I'll give you three pieces of information." He proceeded to give me the case number, the invoice ID# and that the case is at NVC with no timeline for when it would go to the embassy. He said that I would receive an email when it is headed to the embassy. I asked him to confirm my email address, he did. And I asked if he could tell me when it was received and he said--it was entered on November 8. Hope this helps if you're thinking about your timeline or planning to call NVC!

Thank you! This is very helpful for me since my NOA2 is 10/23 as well! I am going to try calling later today and see if they now have mine since last week was a no-go!

Ahhh! I'm excited for you! I don't think I said this, but I would hang up right away when the message started until I heard a ring. So you don't have to sit there and listen to that whole message every time. I hope it's there! Let me know. 🤞

It looks like from some reading you can start once you have the case set to ready.  Be sure to leave enough tine between medical and the interview for the medical results to arrive at the embassy in time for the interview or face delays.

@Greenbaum  I am wondering whether you have the link for P3 for Montreal Embassy?  Thank you

You can't hurry it along at all. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Packet 3: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf  And Packet 4 for reference also: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/03/Packet4-MTL.pdf

For all things dealing with the US Consulate in Canada head on over to the sub-forum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Birth Certificate and Police Certificate information

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aa5iWVtFniXGWavXN0zs-94dewD2Fdfy/view?usp=sharing

Here is some additional information. As was stated in the Canadian sub-forum there is an "emergency order" application in Ontario. You need the birth cert that is CERTIFIED COPY OF BIRTH REGISTRATION that has the parents name. You don't want the "parental cert" that is a wallet sized one with parents names but no place of birth, doctors who attended birth etc. The parental one is for parents travelling with kids to prove custody in an easy to use/travel with format. Hope this clears up your question. CALL the registrar and tell them you need to do an emergency application otherwise you will be waiting 15+ weeks. Absolutely the long form is a required LIVE document needed at the interview or you'll get rejected.  I hope this info is helpful and best of luck.

In case you're doing the medical in Vancouver: Dr. Cheema requires you to schedule the interview first in order to book the medical.

Routine vaccinations such as MMR, Tetanus, Flu Shots, etc are offered free of charge in the province of Ontario. Patients can walk into any health care clinical or family physician office and receive these immunizations for free.  it would be better to go and get your vaccinations free of charge rather than pay any additional fees at these the medical exams.

Also there is a discussion about the new requirements for PC and fingerprints found here

Hi all - and thanks for asking -  @livinginlove

I have no idea what I do differently than other people, but I never have to wait or push any numbers other than 1 to speak to the next representative.  Tonight I waited for 7 minutes on hold.

Anyway, they got my case today, so I won't have my number for awhile, but at least it's there! The lady told me to use the travel.state.gov/petition website to see where they are with processing - but I don't think that's accurate for K1 visas since it says they are working on cases received 10/21 and lots of people have their case numbers for later dates! She also noted that the K1 visas are processed "expeditiously" : ) Here's to hoping that I might make the end of month shipment!

Anyone have the link to P3 for Morocco?

Once you get a case number, you can fill out the DS 160 online. Print the confirmation page for this once completed.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things,  at NVC, In Transit, or Ready. Once your case shows "Ready" then you email the consulate and request an interview. Include your name, fiancés name, case number and that you're looking to schedule a K1 Fiance Visa interview. I heard they'll email you back within 2 weeks or so but some have heard back the same day that they sent the email.

When they email you back they'll tell you when your appointment is. Attached will be packet 3. Includes a list of doctors to choose from for the medical , your rights and your appointment letter. At that point - just get your papers together. Usually your fiancé gets the police records in a week. Court records same day. Celabecy letter same day. And birth cert in the same day. Once you have them, then dropped them off to be translated. Picked them up in a week. Already you're at 2 weeks for gathering the fiancés paperwork. On top of that make sure your fiancé sends you their documents (I-134, proof of relationship, taxes, pay stubs, letter from employer, updated letter of intent..).

Here is the list of panel physicians used by the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca. Call ahead to insure they are still doing medical exams for the Embassy.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/CSB - Casablanca.pdf

You cannot schedule dr appointment till you receive notice from embassy it is taking about 3 months of waiting to be able to schedule any appointments. Do not do the medical too soon as the travel time must be completed within 6 months from date of that medical. You will also need to complete 2 criminal reports (one of which expires in 90 days)  Obtain a Fiche Anthropometrique and a Casier Judiciaire from the Central Police station at their place of residence.

All documents submitted in support of an application or petition must include complete translation into English. In addition, there must be a certification from the translator indicating that the translation is complete and accurate and attesting to his or her competence as a translator. See8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) .

@livinginlove  I wrote a handle PDF that can be found on the first page second posting that address many of your questions including the problem you are having in getting through to NVC. Here is the paragraph that you find that addresses that issue from that PDF. I recommend you get a copy so you can be on top of what comes next.

2. Checking on your embassy case number from NVC: It will take 30 days (some sooner)  for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 5 - 10 business days for NVC to get your file in their system and produce your case number. Call 7:00 am eastern time for shorter wait times. NVC hours have changed and are now 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.

1-603-334-0700 For Immigrant Visa Service or 1- 603-334-0888 For none Immigrant Visa Service. Either phone number will get you an Operator. So don’t think you can’t use eiter. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Eastern Time) 1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead after they receive your case.)

Best time to call:

Right after they open which is around 7:00 am US Eastern Time, Mon-Fri. Most have had luck getting the phone answered after the first ring if they called right at 7 am.

Our Visa approved today, timeline updated. We've been together 5 years and have a kid. It was never really in doubt.

Did not ask for 134 or any proof of ongoing relationship. They only asked her about her past, she was previously married, nothing about me or the kid. Between the pre-screening and actual interview, added up to less than 5 minutes.

Thanks to all that answers any of my questions or read my blabbing on other topics. I'll be back at the next step to annoy some more.

Assigned case number on 11/6. Status is still at NVC. Looks like another 2 weeks of waiting...

Mine was assigned 11/4, also still at NVC. We'll just have to be a little more patient 🙃😉
