Don't jump the gun till you have read the information contained within your embassy's P3. I will post links below for your consideration.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

 

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Each embassy has their own requirements on how to proceed with the scheduling and such and therefore I recommend that the individual refer to the P3 letter for instructions on how to proceed.

List your income where it is asked and the child support can be added at the end of the document. Be sure to have something in writing that you are receiving the child support.

Would you recommend to start calling the NVC now for a case number? I've held off for about two and half weeks after the NOA2, would that be enough time for the case to make it?

 

Could you point me in the right direction for the P3 information packets for Chinese nationals? Just a heads up on what they will need to prepare and I'll help preparing it if I could. Shes coming for Christmas so I could give a copy of everything I have and the supporting documents for the interview in Guangzhou

Normally it takes from NOA2 to NVC 30 days and then another week before any action is taken on your case. You might be a little early but if you were to call Monday and Thursaday each week you may find out what your case number is. Good luck

 

The GUZ P3 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. You cannot schedule your interview appointment till such time as you have been sent the P3 letter from the Embassy and have returned the requested documents.

Don't waste time while you're waiting for P3, complete DS-160 and print confirmation page. Since you are from China go to the 2nd link below and click immigrant to register under K1 visa. After you register and enter info it should be clear on how to pay fee, make sure you print bank deposit slip. Just follow directions under Nonimmigrant Visa, but make sure when you register K1 is under Immigrant Visa.

After you register make sure to choose K1 visa under Immigrant, it wasn't an option for under non-immigrant.

Thank you for so much for the reference links  I guess I should wait another week before calling. I did send them an email earlier in the day so let see how that goes. Checking similar members timeline from the late September NOA2 KVC thread it looks like it's still progressing through 3rd week of September.

Your in Albania and he is India. Different processes. Most embassy's are not requiring wet signatures or original I-134's.
