When you respond to a post just use the "Quote" at the end of the post. That will populate to a new window where below the quote and outside the quoted text you can type your message. That way the individual knows that you have answer/have a question concerning their topic.

If you just want to post something to an individual without a quote then use the "@" sign then begin typing, in the box at the end of the page, you should see it populate to a little window that you can choose their nik. Good luck and I hope this helps navigate the thread and posts in a much easier way.

There is a box on the very bottom that says "reply to this topic" where you can start your post to someone using the "@" sign without quoting a topic.

hi Franlovera

awesome very happy for you.

I hope my folders will go away with yours.have you got an NVC file No?

I didn't get an email or anything. I called and they gave me the case number. Once you have the case number you can track the status online.

Hi guys. we're in the same timeline. I got a quick question though. we're preparing all the documents for the interview rn. my fiancée used her middle name all her life but recently got taken out. Her NBI didn't have an AKA on it. will that be a problem? should we get another NBI stating her middle name as an AKA?

Thank you.

Yes you need an NBI that has ALL AKA used or face a delay till you produce one.

Hello again ☺

I just wanted to ask, if you get an email or hard copy from the NVC for sure or if it is like gambling with the USCIS, which only send anything sometimes?

Our case number from the NVC was created on October 30th, so I actually expect it to be shipped today. But even though I updated both of our email addresses, neither of us got anything, also no letter in the mail. So I'm worried now that they might keep our case for another two weeks before they ship it 😢

You think there is hope we are getting shipped today even without any message?

Today and tomorrow are big days for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit” Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers must sync with each other to produce the outcome.

You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request, I will post back the links.

Please don't screenshot and post your CEAC status as it just clutters up the thread. We all know what it looks like. Let us know your progress as we want to celebrate with you. Good luck.

You need a little more faith. NVC will send you a hard copy of your NVC number. You were approved in plenty of time for shipping this week. You will not get a confirmation when you update your email. I believe I have that in the instructions. You have to trust the process. It does work. Follow your progress today as I have outlined in the "buckle up" post. Good luck.

Yeah, I didn't expect a confirmation email. But I have read a few times about people and even know one person, who got an email around three days before the shipment, telling there case will be shipped soon. But we neither got an email, nor a hard copy yet. And by tomorrow it's been two weeks since they created the case number...

So I'm just concerned they might keep it longer 😓😢

They normally don't send the email/hard copy till after the file has been shipped. Trust the process.

Yeah i'm in the same exact boat. I actually called twice and still don't feel 100% sure. Lets have faith and wait for good news. Good luck!
BTW, I didn't get any emails or letters yet either.
