Getting ready to mail the K1 Visa packet

Hello,

I am getting ready to mail off the K1 visa packet to try and begin the process to bring my fiancé here to the US. I was very confident about having all of the information needed, but while having some trouble sleeping, i was watching some videos on YouTube about how other people were preparing theirs and I now feel I have far too little evidence.

-I have the check at the front of the packet for the $535.

-i have the g-1145 form

-i have the i-129f; 13 pages

-the additional info for the i-129f: our relationship explanation of the times we have met in person. - 1 page

-my birth certificate copy, front and back: 2 pages

-passport style photos of petitioner and beneficiary: 1 page

-both our letters of intent to marry: 2 pages (neither of us want a big wedding, we just want to go to the courthouse so we don't have any extreme plans set)

-evidence of in person meeting: 22 pages (this is passport page photos of stamps, the boarding passes that were locatable, several photos (neither of us are huge fans of having our photos taken), some tickets from places that we went to together on our trips.

-evidence of ongoing relationship:

64 pages (these are intermittent screenshots of our chat history on WhatsApp from my current phone. We have been together nearly 3 years, but I only had the chat history back to April 2018. And intermittent call logs from back to April 2018.)

I know that i technically have everything on the checklist but i still feel like i am woefully underprepared and i had a panic attack this morning.  People in these videos had signed affidavits from friends and family.

Is that something I need or am I freaking out over something unnecessary.l?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

And affidavits carry very little to no weight. Anybody can write one, nobody submits a negative one, the CO has no way to verify the information, etc.

For K-1, the requirement to file is proof of in-person meeting once in the last 2 years. Other than that, you send in all that stuff, but it's just gonna annoy the adjudicator who has to go through all of it. I would consider cut down on the 64 pages of chat. I would send no more than 7-8, spread out during the duration of relationship. Continue to build your relationship and keep your evidence until the interview date.

Agree. save your time and the resources. They are only a little above worthless. B-)

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Just think how much longer it will take for them to adjudicate your petition vs one that is prepared using the checklist/instructions on the USCIS website....   When in doubt, USCIS website is a much better source for immigration information than YouTube.
