may i ask why do you think OP case is "not so lucky" when "the white slip that simply had administrative processing selected" and no additional information requested ???

Because they did get a 221(g) slip and presumably will take more than a couple days to complete AP and issue the visa.

How long have you been waiting so far

Our interview was Sept 8th. The man "at the last window" gave us the passport, took his number and said we will call you shortly. Sent an email to them two days later asking what this all means and they replied we will call you soon we need info from his side. still waiting....

Back on Sep 12 my husband have gotten an email reply through an inquiry made by our Congresswoman. I noticed something that caught my interest and I was wondering if it meant anything.

Here is USEM canned reply:
"Our records show that your visa application is still undergoing administrative processing, in order to verify your qualifications for this visa."
Here is USEM reply to Congress inquiry:

"Currently, xxxxxxx case is pending the completion of administrative processing in order to verify her qualifications for this visa."

My husband had his interview yesterday in Ghana. The CO asked the normal questions. Then she left and came back with the white slip that simply had administrative processing selected at the bottom. She did not ask for any other documents but she keep our original marriage license and his original birth certificate. I called my Texas State Senator and was told there was nothing that can be done except wait. Please advise

I’m sorry to hear about your predicament, I hope what I’m about to say will be of some help:

I also attended my CR1 interview at the Accra Embassy on July 11, 2019. Normal questions asked and I felt like I answered every question very well. After the interview, the CO got up, went to the back, and came back with a white sheet with “Administrative Processing” ticked. He gave me back my passport and said these words: “I’m going to put your case in Administrative processing. We don’t need anything from you at this moment, we have everything we need. We will reach out to you when the process is over.” My case remained on AP until 25th September when it changed to “Ready”. We didn’t hear anything from the embassy until we contacted my wife’s senator. She made inquiries for us and we found out on October 10 that the CO claimed he had sent me an email on 25th September instructing me to bring in my passport for the visa to be printed. I sent my passport to DHL on October 11 and long story short, my visa was issued on Monday October 28th 2019. Hope this information
