Hi guys!

I have a question. In June 2019 I sent my EAD renewal. It was two applications for me and my son.

My son was called to do fingerprints and his case was with IOE (I don’t remember exactly  order of letters) receipt number and mine was with MSC. So after we did fingerprints he got his card immediately. And I’m still waiting.

But the thing is that I put wrong address. Instead of Vermont I put Chicago.

But they opened it anyway and my son got his card.

How do you think why they didn’t review my case at the same time? Why mine could be delayed?

And how long it could take if they sent my to Vermont?

Thanks folks!🌸

I have to tell you
This is really strange.
Many people are afraid to talk about it.
And I also, because it seems embarrassing
It seems like I'm to blame myself...about what happened
I try to think and analyze a lot
I make excuses for him.
And I'm afraid no one will believe me

You are responsible for what you say, not what  others understand.Remember the only thing you can control is yourself then  don’t be afraid to speak out against domestic violence.People need to know that you care and that you survived abuse .

Unfortunately,

It was always said that my case was transferred to another office,  I could have had a GC by now..... such a setback😔

How did your lawyer assume I-485 was still pending? Did you went to the Interview and request Officer to hold and he said yes. or did she wrote a letter requesting officer to hold it until I-360 was adjudicated and confirm with USCIS it was done and hold??  When I-485 is denied your lawyer will received the denial notice at her office also you will received a receipt of denial notice as well. USCIS will have record of that. But if NO Denial notice was received on your end and at your lawyers office, they you can file Motion to reconsider or to reopen your I-485 since denial notice was never received if that was the case...

AP DOCUMENT UPDATE

To prevent secure document tampering, counterfeiting, and fraud, we will begin producing on Oct. 24 a new security-enhanced U.S. travel document, which is a booklet that looks similar to a U.S. passport and serves dual purposes. The travel document can serve in place of:

  • Form I-327, Permit to Reenter the United States: Lawful permanent residents use the Reentry Permit to return from temporary travel outside of the United States and, in some cases, may use a Reentry Permit for travel in place of a passport; and
  • Form I-571, Refugee Travel Document: Those with refugee or asylum status use a Refugee Travel Document if they wish to temporarily travel outside of the United States and, in some cases, may use a Refugee Travel Document for travel in place of a passport.

The new travel document will include a variety of secure features:

  • Redesigned booklet cover
  • Four montages containing three images, each of notable U.S. architecture, used throughout the booklet
  • A combination of first-, second- and third-level security features (overt, covert and forensic)
    • Overt is something you can see with the eye, such as the central image of the Statue of Liberty.
    • Covert is something that requires a tool, such as a magnifying glass, to see fine detail artwork.
    • Forensic is something that requires laboratory examination.

Prior versions of the travel document will remain valid until their expiration date.

Great info!! But this is not an AP Document update is for Reenter Permit Document only.

Advance Parole is issued to an alien who does not have permanent resident status. A Reentry Permit is issued to a permanent resident of the U.S.

Advance Parole is a single piece of paper bearing the alien's photo or Combination Card with working permit , whereas a Re-entry Permit looks like a passport.

Permanent Resident can reenter USA with just the Green card and this new Reentry Permit booklet, no need to present their foreign passport.

That's a good question.

I believe my lawyer checked once in the beginning of my VAWA filing and sent USCIS a letter to hold it.

My first I-485 was filed with another attorney through my abusive husband. I am assuming  the denial notice might have came to his address or his attorney. I did not know about it...

Today is Domestic Violence Awareness Day. The CDC survey shows that each minute 20 people suffer domestic violence in the U.S and over 4.000 are murdered every year due to domestic violence as well.

You all are survivors of abuse, victims are those who lost their lives because of abuse, honor them and SPEAK OUT against domestic violence. There are thousands of people feeling utterly powerless and ashamed let them know there is a way out, let them know that  you survived abuse!.

I found out more about that you said about this issue.
I found a site
and I wrote a link to my page in the FB from the official site.
And also your words.
I think this is right ... so that people know

That makes sense.

They usually only place the i485 on hold at the time of adjudication and or denie.  Your ex/his lawer probably received the denial letter or maybe you had an interview scheduled and they withdraw it.

Yes is possible,. Your lawyer should have contact USCIS to make sure they received the letter and if it was actually hold and made an address change, she did not follow up professionally on you

I-485. You cannot file a a motion now you have 30 days after your received your denial notice. Your Ex and your previous lawyer must have the denial notice. Just file a new one as soon as possible.

it is usually 70 to 90 days to respond. but in your case, you might need to send early as you received it in July

Last month, my attorney sent new G28 to VSC because he moved his office. but he hasn't received any updates from USCIS regarding address change. I am concern because if they didn't update it, my mails will go to a wrong address. What should I do?

There've been so many delayed responses lately...since it was done just last month, you might want to give it more time...most likely it was updated!😊👍

Hi guys.

I contacted my congressman to ask them to change my address about 3 weeks ago. I’m in palm beach county FL

They were able to change my address. They also said my i485 is still pending at NBC and that I should receive an answer within 60

I’m not sure what type of answer though. Any thoughts?

thanks in advance to all ♥️
