Hello, I have a pending i-485 and my EAD(c9) expires by March 2020..

* Can I send my i-765 renewal application now?

* what category am I eligible for, is it C9 or C31?

* I am separated from my husband and our divorce is pending, do I still put my marital status as married?

* Is the i-765 application form the same as the regular application or there is a separate i-765 form for vawa cases?

Yes you can submit form I-765 now. Use category C9. Marial status put married. Form  I-765  is used by anyone who wants  to work, just the category is different.

I updated the address in writing AR11 but never got a confirmation. I was sure that after doing that I would be at the Queens office, but I don’t know anything anymore... The congressperson said they have been trying to confirm my address with USCIS but didn‘t get a response on that. All of this is so confusing. What else can I do to get my address confirmed?

With USCIS..It's neither white nor black! Lots of 'grey areas' I didn't even have to write..I just called on the phone and it was done! Confirmed within 4days! They sent me confirmation adding that "it's been determined that long island office has jurisdiction over your case"💁 try to call..pray to not be connected to a mean officer..it just might work out..but make the congressman's inquiry your strong force!

Ok that’s good to know! Which office do I have to call?

Dear VJ family,

Today I received my green card in the mail!

Thanks everyone for being part of the journey!

And for all those who are waiting still, don’t worry, your time will come. Stick with patience and prayers.

Additionally be proactive regarding your case. I kept inquiring about my case via congressperson at every stage i.e. VAWA reciept, first EAD, EAD renewals, VAWA delay, Approval notice, transfer notice and interview as well. Believe me, they ALWAYS act when pushed/asked by congress!

Thanks and God bless! Keeping you’ll in my prayers!

Congratulations. And the pushing congressman(woman) part is very true.

I called and they told me they cannot give me any information about my address and to send a letter to VSC.

Alright don't stress..they'll give the info to your congressman! But like I said be patient...you can call back as much as you can on other days until you get connected with someone who'll let loose! Been discreet is the standard regulation as it concerns VAWA cases..so don't think much about it..pressure your congressman also you can write to Vermont as well...it's no big deal.

Yes, I’ll be patient. There’s nothing else I can do besides these options. If I have to wait another 12 months then so be it. When the time is right I will get my interview. Thanks again! 😘
