Today was my Green card interview and I want to share my experience:

1- I arrived to the USCIS office - Manhattan at 7:45 am my appointment was for 9:30 am.

2- They do not check you in until 30 minutes before you appointment, so I waited until 9:00 am to check in. I realized I did not need to arrive that early.

3- I waited approximately 2 hours. at 11:00 am an officer called my number from door #1.

4- The officer was polite but serious.

5- my attorney, my 9 years old daughter who is included in the case and I walked to his office.

6- The officer asked me for my passport and my daughter's passport and birth certificate, he also asked me for updated medical exams which I had, he then proceeded to asked me the fallowing questions:

- Have you been arrested? I told him "yes" explained it was because false accusations made by my abuser and gave him the certificate of disposition that says that the case was dismissed and sealed.

- Have you lie to the government to obtain immigration benefits?

- Are you a terrorist?

- Do you work? where?

The interview was 5 minutes, he told me my card will be put it in the mail within the next 2 weeks!!!

Dateline:

Vawa filed on 10.3.16

Vawa approved 4.18.18

Case transferred to local office 4.18.19

Interview notice received 9.12.19

Interview date 10.3.19

Thank you all for your support.

Congratulations 🎉🎊 the wait is worth it!

Hi everyone,

Anyone have info about the status of VAWA (I know they aren’t going to abolish a system to help victims) but I was browsing through YouTube and saw one of Brad videos saying that VAWA has ended. This is not the first I heard of him saying it.

This is FAKE news. They’ll do anything for views and likes. The best way is to check on USCIS website. If this happened they would’ve done a press release/official article in the website.

I got a letter from USCIS today saying to speed up your application we transferred your EAD application to Boston Local office !!
My EAD application was sent to Missouri by lawyer incorrectly and i got a notification online that it was transferred  to another office .. i thought it was transferred to vermont .. but the letter says it was transferred to Boston !!
Any explanation for that !

Well you should concern yourself with the promised speedy processing and delivery of your EAD! For me I don't want to know where they're processing mine..even if it's behind my house..I just want it now!💁😀😀 let's see if they keep their word and how long from today it will take..😏

I saw the same video that was posted a few hours ago. He said vawa ended since yesterday.  Could someone just explain if there is any explanation for that? Why he is considering September 30?

Hey..this person you guys are talking about..I really don't know him or watched any of his videos on YouTube..but does he work with USCIS..is he a government official? Is he USCIS director? Under what mandate is he speaking? Please pay these videos no mind until we hear something official from the government!💁

This new VAWA thread is working already. :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

My EAD renewal was transfered to boston too from Vermont, though I had an approved i360, so the next mail was the interview and I got the GC and later the EAD was denied because I didn't need it. Good luck
