Hi, any recent approvals that can share their timeline?

I filed In AUG 2018 , just wanted to have an idea how long more I have to waitΒ

Thanks

Hey Touna😊 I know that feeling! It will get to you soon..just keep busy and keep praying!πŸ™ I believe we've seen Jan, Feb and March 2018 approvals so far...it's moving along! Also bear in mind USCIS is also working on earlier petitions from 2017 tooπŸ’

USCIS will not take anything intoΒ consideration that your (ex) husbandΒ sends them after you filed yourΒ VAWA. The divorceΒ court may be a different story, but I am sure there must be some trace of his abusive behavior over time, like text messages, emails or anything like that. Don’t be afraid, he cannot hurt you anymore, you’re in control of your own life and not him. He is not almighty, even if he thinks he is. You have rights and the divorce court listens to both sides. USCIS won’t listen to him at all, because they know how abusive spouses work in order to maintain control over their partners.

Hello, I have a pending i-485 and my EAD(c9) expires by March 2020..

* Can I send my i-765 renewal application now?

* what category am I eligible for, is it C9 or C31?

* I am separated from my husband and our divorce is pending, do I still put my marital status as married?

* Is the i-765 application form the same as the regular application or there is a separate i-765 form for vawa cases?

Yes you can send in your renewal application any time now..do you have an approved VAWA? Once you renew your C9 you're good for another year! Seperation is not divorce! So technically you're still very much married until divorce is finalized! i765 form is the same..but different categories..I believe!😊

My vawa case is still pending, I got my EAD from my i-485 case which is on hold right now.So am I still in the c9 category or c31?

Thanks, what other documents do I need to attach before sending it to Vermont?

I guess you're doing this without a representative...anyway I believe you need the copy of your i485, copy of the EAD you want to renew, two passport photographs, fee waiver and probably a government issued i.d...I believe!πŸ‘

@Stillwinning!!!😊 my sister, if I decide to pay for the renewal of EAD under category C09 how much will it be ? I don’t want to send it without a fee neither do I want to do a fee waiverΒ

Usually the fee is $410 biometrics fee is $85 bringing it to $495...I supposed you may not be needing biometrics for now...but the thing is if you have a pending i485..you are eligible for renewal without fees! I've never paid for renewal ever! Guess everyone's story is different...πŸ’

Fee waiver?

Eligibility to apply without paying the $410 since you already have a pending i485! This is how it's supposed to be..but we keep hearing strange stories about applications been sent back and accepted only after proper fees were paid..it's bizzare..but like I said, it's never happened to me!πŸ’
