Hello

I understand that I want too much, and perhaps this is not related to this topic.
I'm not even sure mine will be approved, although I believe in it.
I want more!
He destroyed me and my son. I want to know if I can later, when I am in the United States, submit documents to the court so that my ex-husband
be punished or compensate me for my moral trauma and my son’s trauma
Or is it wrong in this case?

Thank you, my Dears.

He is past. why you wanna see him again once you are here? forget him and move on.. you and your son deserve a better life

We did not appear for the first interview becuse he hit me few days to the interview, I got muscle strain in the neck, I went to the hospital a day before the first interview. I called my former attorney to help me get an interview reschedule but unfortunately the new date was sent to my old address, which I never received but was stated in the denial letter which was also mailed to the old address, it was one of my former neighbors that went to the old address and saw the letter 20 days the delivery date

No, I did not disclose  that.  I was afraid they might arrest him. He once told me if I call the police on him,  they aren't going to  do anything to him , instead it will affect me because he's a citizen and I'm not

You will need to attend therapy and have a psychological evaluation done and if you have a diagnose of depression and/or PTSD and a great evaluation you will be able to prove abuse.

Applying for i360 means you are withdrawing your F1 status I guess.. because thats what happened to me. My ex filed for my i485 and i was on F1 that time, so i lost my f1 because i was filing for gc

The person can keep the F1 status while the AOS is pending and it's advised to do this as a  backplan in case of denial, and in case of denial the person can return to his/her nonimmigrant statusI had A LOT of cases like the OP.

It is confusing. Maybe if I told my school I already submitted 485, they will inactive my status

If you have money and energy you can still continue but if you don't then you know what to do.

Hey everyone, just got received my interview notice in NYC for early January. I am super excited, however it says I-751 interview for removal of conditions but I don't have green card yet, I have an approved VAWA. Has anyone ever been in the same situation? Please help, it's making me nervous. Thank you guys!

Attend the interview and the officer will see USCIS made a  mistake and he/she will fix it.

i dont have the details yet because i don't have the letter but i went to the interview and everything was good. The interviewer told me they will send me RFE for 1 document. I received RFE, responded to it. They never updated case status for months to acknowledge receiving RFE but to me that didn't shock me because USCIS is notorious for not updating things on the website. I knew it was delivered because my attorney sent it via certified mail.

So one day  i asked my senator to inquire on my case then a few  days later when i  checked my case status it  had changed to "case denied"

Ask your attorney to file a motion to reopen and then submit form I-864W.I believe this is the document they mentioned in your denial letter.

Why did USCIS deny your I-485? if it's because you didn't appear to attend the interview with your husband or because they asked more evidences of a bonafide marriage and they were not satisfied with they received from you then you won't have any problem filing a new I-485, but if USCIS mentioned that they denied your I485 because of a sham/fraudulent  marriage then you won't ever get a green card here. In both cases you will receive a notice to appear in Court.

I advise you to refile a new I-485, if they didn't state about a sham/fraudulent marriage, and as soon you get the VAWA/AOS receipt submit a copy of the receipt to the place that denied your case and ask them not to issue the NTA considering that you filed I-360 and I-485.

And please, do I need to attach a letter with the receipt and what should be the content of the letter

If a spouse tells you to quit a job repeatedly because at the workplace she feels insecure about the women at the job..is that not financial abuse ? If a spouse, repeatedly calls you at your job at work hours, non stop trying to get you fired, is that not financial abuse ? If a spouse, while getting ready for work, ask you if you already put in application because she wants you to quit your job and you tell the spouse am keeping my job, and she in turn takes the knife she’s using to make breakfast for you that morning and slash your work back pack in halves is that not financial abuse ? If a spouse, decides not to pay the rent, and I gave her the rent on the second day of the month, and I thinking she paid the rent, comes home one night on the 18th day of the month and see court eviction letter on the door, I ask why the rent was not not paid on the 2nd day of the month, she tells me she can pay it anytime she likes and in the argument decides to hold the 955 dollar rent, goes inside to start packing my clothes, etc and tells me to leave and calls the cops to kick me out of the house is that not financial abuse ? Am asking these, because I went through all these and many more including being raped by my wife in the middle of the night . Men can be raped, not only women .

thank you for your good job here @sandranj and happy thanksgiving to you and your family . God bless

`Why did you use the  answer I gave in  one post and added all these things above? I was very  clear when answering the question in that post, I said that  considering what the person wrote, cleaning the bank account, was not enough to prove financial abuse, just if was a considered amount. But  nothing  that you said was in the OP  post then I don't see why my answer was quoted by you.
