Thank you i will try and yeah it was a unforgettably journey, hopefully with a positive outcome at the end. Also doe it make a difference if you are marred to a Green Card Holder or to a US Citizen

yes, it does.

Green card holder (or any other person with any visa or no visa):

you have to wait for some number (visa number? cant recall the technical term) to file your I-485 i think

US citizen:  you can file everything together

Good morning VJ Family i have a question, 30 days a go my I-360 got approved :) and i requested my lawyer to get in contact with USCIS and to reopen my I-485 since my I-485 was put on hold just before my interview for my green card. My question is how long after an approval on I-360 USCIS will scheduled  a interview and is it better if i reach out to them or  it will be better i contact my congressmen, the reason why im asking this is that my VAWA case toke 4 years and i'm hoping that it wont take them 2-3 years for that interview to be scheduled. I was married to a US citizen, can you guess please advice me and what to do???

WOW! Still baffles me they took 4yrs to approve your case! Anyway as for how long it takes to be scheduled for interview..anywhere from 4-12month..yes! We've seen people here get scheduled that fast..I have no idea the pattern or criteria USCIS uses to get some cases scheduled before others..but you'll get your interview when you get it! Anyone here that tells you when..probably works with USCIS..and is probably your adjudicating officer!💁😏 I got approved March/April and case transferred to local office June...waiting patiently..but be happy you just got APPROVED! one step at a time!😊👍

Congressperson has no jurisdiction over the pace of the case! Patience is still a valuable tool..of course they can inquire and get the general message...💁

Baltimore should be your field office..you can confirm using your zipcode online #uscisofficelocator but they generally have a longer wait time over there...just be patient..you may be pleasantly surprised!🙏😊

Yes!😊 but if it was approved 30days ago, it's most likely in Vermont waiting to be transferred to the NBC, then on to the local office!

yep...

@digonyc has been waiting for 12 months... I had directed the question at them.

@digonyc, what is your field office and did you get a transfer notice for i-485?

Yes @digonyc if you can please mention your field office here in NYC..it will help us identify a small pattern. But it's common knowledge that N.Y. N.Y. office is a nightmare! Followed by Brooklyn..💁
