Hi guys

as I have posted here already I have been waiting for a decision since Jun/2019 when they received my RFE. I applied in November 2017.

Im already contacting my congressman.

today I received the automatic renewal from Prima Facie (thank you God because I use it to study) and it has more 180 days and it says that I should not receive an decision before that?

what do you guys think about it? One of you have received a 180 days prima facie and had the case approved before that?

receiving the Prima Facie renewal (issued couple days ago) is a good thing? Like meaning that they are still working on my case? Or getting the 180 is a bad signal?

please let me know your thoughts

thanks

@Poupis don't you worry your fine self about 180days prima facie ok? Few months before I was approved they sent me 180days PF and I wondered what was up their sleeves!💁 but still got approved not long after..making the PF valid months after approval. I know your approval is near cheer up dear!💖😊

When you make an e-request with USCIS on their website because you haven't received a notice and it says "a response to your inquiry was sent, referral number SR....." where can you look at the response that they say they sent? Will I receive a letter or can it be viewed online?

No you won't receive an actual letter..I believe it's just the standard term they use when they have processed the enquiry! Since I started sending SR, they always say response sent...but I never receive any actual letter whatsoever! But be rest assured they have seen your enquiry and are working on it!😊👍

Hi there

I just received I360 receipt dated on 11/20. They received package on 08/11. I also sent I485, I765, I912, I864W but no any recepit for that. No email/txt notice on G1145.

Anyway - is it normal just to receive receipt for I360 that states filing fee waived (I asked for a waiver on I485 and I765) Are these gonna arrive at later date or what?

Thanks

If you didn't receive them alongside i360, you will surely get them on a later date..if they won't accept it, they will also notify you! With USCIS, high level of patience is needed!👍

PLEASE FAMILY, I NEED YOUR HELP - I AM LOOSING MY MIND!

I have found the courage to get sign up and seek guidance for my current situation.

I got married to my US citizen wife in October 2017. By June 2018 she was 3 months pregnant and

regularly tried to start fights with me but I always avoided that problem. The last time she had me trapped

in the house and refused to let me go to work. When I was finally able to escape, I stayed away a 2 days,

when I returned she would not let me in the house but threw my stuff at me and she held on to my

international passport. I called the Sheriff's office and 2 Deputies came before she handed it over to me.

She proceeded to clean out our joint account and subsequently closed it and also removed my name from

all utility bills.

My attempts at peace failed, so I gave up. Then, one day in September 2018 she

emailed me saying she knew my interview would come up soon and she knows how important it is to me

and she is willing to go with me. Shortly after that, I received invitation for the interview to hold by Nov., 1 2018.

We had to reopen a fresh bank account and she had to put my name back on the utility bills et al.

Things became strange when she refused to attach the sonogram and other documents to indicate that she

is pregnant. On the day of the interview, she seized my wedding band but I quietly drove to the mall and got

another one. While my attorney prepared us with likely interview questions and asked if we'd talk about children

she denied saying she doesnt want any kids. The interview went well and I was told my case will be reviewed.

On our way back, she started to trouble me again but I stayed calm. The following days, she called me a common

immigrant and all kind of names deliberately to provoke me, so I stayed away. Five (5) weeks after the interview,

she withdrew her petition for me and in February of this year a denial letter was sent. She told USCIS that I have

left home and she doesnt know where I am. She went ahead again to close our joint account. She gave birth to

our daughter in January and she switched hospitals to make sure my name is not on the birth certificate. Right now,

I filed for access and have a PL court order that gives

me  that.

Now, my problem is this. I have met a number of attorneys and they are not willing to take up my case to file for VAWA.

They always say that because she did not hit me, it will be hard to prove abuse (even though I already seen

a Psychiatrist who believes I was abused) and I have had multiple therapy sessions because I was in a really bad

shape mentally. In fact, this last attorney told me that applying for VAWA could trigger a NOTICE TO APPEAR (NTA).

Please what can I do?

Please don't lose your mind!🙏 you need it now more than ever! Get yourself together..I've read your post and as such do not need to duplicate it here! Don't listen to negativity!!! A lot of people do not reach for the stars becauses other people said it was impossible!!! Let that marinate!😏 alright try and read previous treads of VJ it helps! A lot of success stories here are from men too! Gather all the documents you need for VAWA, continue to visit your therapist..read more on VAWA.. It is violence against women and men..not just women! You'll find out that it's not just physical abuse that qualifies you for the petition but also emotional/psychological too! Your therapist should write you an evaluation report..which you will add to your list of evidence! Friends and families who witnessed your ordeal should be able to attest too in a detailed affidavit! If you make this thread your companion and also research more on other sites..USCIS included, you'll find you may not need an attorney and you will WIN!!!😊👍

Question:

Should I take my lawyer to the interview? The cost is $1100.00

Even though I didn’t get a courtesy letter, should I still redo my medical? They expire after 2 years right?

Thanks

$1,100 is very high price just to go to the interview,  my lawyers only charge $500.00, is advise to go with a lawyer, but is not necessary many visa journey have gone thru the interview alone and everything went fine,  regarding the medicals wait for the interview date to redo it, remember Form I-693 that is signed by a civil surgeon it could no be more than 60 days before filing the underlying application. If you think interview date is before 60 days you can redo it, but my advise is to wait to know interview date.

If you haven't hire a lawyer to start your VAWA case you can speak with the forum attorney @sandranj please messages her too see if she be able to help you and you can hire her... reading your case is more Emotional, and financial abuse, also keeping a father away from his child, denying his parental rights is such a low move typical abuser behavior taking control over everything, if your Psychiatrist says you were abuse, he can do an evaluation to help your Vawa case, I hope you can get all utilities proof and all the other joints bank account information maybe going to the bank to get a letter when was open and close as proof the account existed you can do this since your name was on the account. Also Those months you name were on the utilities bills you can contact the company directly so they can also email your bills under your name and email you a letter when your name was taking off... Little details makes a lot different... Reading previous post will help you a lot too.

Hello family,

Happy Thanksgiving. How many sessions of therapy is it advisable to attend in the minimum.

As you guys know - I received a I360 receipt yesterday. Now I need to go to renew my DL BUT BUT there is a little problem: Somebody from Vermont misspelled my last name actually just the last letter: instead of N they put an H. Alien number is the same - all other info matches. Now family is that a problem with a DMV? Anybody experienced anything similar?

Any Typographic Error should be corrected with USCIS... for state or federal offices documents name must match according with your identity,  DMV no exceptions one of my bill did not have my second last name they did not accepted in NYC, maybe other state may. Not sure if you can do e-request for typographic error online you can try  it https://egov.uscis.gov/erequest/displayTypoForm.do  but since we deal with Vermont Services Center you must make the e-request in writing with a copy for i-360 so they can fix the error and issue a new I-360 receipt with correct name.

You are right.

I tried doing it online last night just to see if it works and it was flawless but I did not submit before I consulted with you guys. I will try to do it electronically also bc it gave me an option last night for form I360 and in paper as well, just to make sure. Thanks
