Hi! Can you tell about you request of extending your EAD?

Im just about to do it by myself.

Actually I contact my congressman but didn’t have respond yet.

Thanks.

I just applied a regular C09 extension together with AP extension based on pending I485.
What exactly do you want to know?

"you are a battered immigrant with a relative visa petition (Form I-130), the 5-year period starts the date the petition was filed (or the date that you entered the U.S. after it was filed if later). If you are a battered immigrant who self-petitioned under VAWA, the start date for the 5-year period is the date that a β€œprima facie” determination was made by immigration officials for the VAWA petition (Form I-360) and not the date the final VAWA status was granted".Β Β

I came across the above while doing some research about vawa. Does this mean that if you are applying vawa as a spouse of abusive LPR and you get prima facie after your apply... then the five year time they will count for you to get citizenship will be 5 years starting from the date you got the primafacie for vawa. And not 5years from the date you got the vawa approved?. Maybe I misunderstood what that means so if anyone has a clue let me know. Am just curious.Β

Don't know much about all that..but what I do know is that you're eligible to become a USC after 3years of being a permanent resident and can start the process from 2yrs 9months of being a USC!πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

So guys, I was just reading and realized that if I file the I485 and I765 together, I only pay the I485 fee, which is $1225.Β Correct?Β

Β

What about the AP document?

If you filed a Form I-485 with a fee, and that I-485 application is still pending, there is no fee for advance parole.

When filing Form I-131 for Advance Parole Include copy of I-485 receipt. My lawyer recommend that you include a cover letter to explain why no fee is included along with the receipt, because she hadΒ some I-131 form rejected asking for a fee even including I-485 receipt. USCIS sometimes is a little messy.Β

It's ok you don't have to pay the fees. I got my receipt notice in 4weeks. You may get it earlier or later..it will arrive when it does!πŸ˜€ I think you're good!πŸ‘Œ
