You dont need an attorney to file those petitions. Most folks here handled their business by themselves!👍

Hi. Yes i filed my vawa in Dec 2017 and got approval after 23 months. Received RFE based on extreme cruelty on June 2019 and responded on Aug 2019. I involved senator/congressman to expedite my ead based on c31 but it was denied because I didnt prove emergent need. So, i applied my ead/ap based on pending I485 on september 2019 and got approved within 3 weeks on October 2019 :-) No police involved

If you filing VAWA then your attorney didn't file form I-130, but I-360, are you sure your attorney file I-130????

 

Prima Facie is used just to use public benefits.Nobody gets EAD because of the Prima Facie.You are confuse about VAWA, I suggest you read the previous VAWA threads to understand about VAWA.

Thank you! I didn't receive a rfe!. I showed police reports, restraining order, pictures of abuse and good faith marriage.

I know the feeling when ‘new card is being produced’ msg pops..one can almost not believe but God is great.

how did you get your AP approved in 3 weeks? 
I Re-applied based on my pending AOS but they rejected it because I didn’t attach a fee but as far as I understand we don’t have to pay a fee if we’re reapplying.. the lawyer who filed my i360 lost my I485 receipt. I explained this in a cover letter for my AP application but they still denied it. 
I’m just wondering what to do.

fee is waived if you attach i485 receipt. I did not pay any fees. because last year in Dec 2018, my attorney applied for renewal of my EAD and instead of c09, he used c31 category. I didn't realize it until few days before expiration of my EAD because it had been so long USCIS didn't issue me new EAD. so first i involved congressman to expedite my EAD but they declined because i didn't able to prove extreme emergent need. So, my friends here helped me and suggested me to file new ead/ap based on pending i485 which I did :-)

send a written notice to USC/Vermont and ask for a receipt. Your attorney didn't gave you your copy?
