A pending i485 is what makes you eligible for EAD C9 category way before VAWA approval! So here's what you can do; you can file a fresh i485 based on on pending VAWA petition! It doesn't have to be based on marriage with your abuser anymore! When you file it, then you can get the C9 EAD!👍

Now I kinda wish I had file the I-485 and I-765 together with the I-360. I now don’t see why I didn’t if I have to anyway. Thanks for the insight

Vawa is taking between 16 to 19 months and the green card may take 6/12months.

If your case was filed over 14months then they are referring to your Vawa approva,but if you applied for EAD the message is regarding the work permit .

It has been 23 month when I applied for vawa.. December 2017. and yes, i selected EAD category on form I360

If you want to keep the second l360 that you submitted  then answer the RFE saying that you want to withdraw the self petition form l360 because you filed a new Vawa petition,and submit a copy of the second l360 in order for them to see that you filed a new one, but don’t forget to put in the letter THE NUMBER OF THE FIRST I360 that you want to withdraw,and submit the RFE along with the letter.
