I file for EAD on July/2019. Just tell USCIS exactly what you wrote here.You can get a letter from the house owner  as well.

No,you don’t. If you have a pending I-485 and your spouse was a USC, you can apply for a work permit under the category C09 . Attach your I-360 receipt and send the completed and signed forms to the Vermont Service Center.

I no longer have a pending I-485 as my USC withdrew his 130 hence everything was denied. I only filed the I-360 a month ago but I really need to work and want to know on what grounds I could apply for a work permit.

How long does it take for vawa to get approved and getting the greencard ? I got my Prima facia on May 20, 2019 and applying for i-130, ead and travel docs this week , any suggest, i've been worrying sick..

Try not to worry too much dear. Patience is key in this journey! Generally VAWA takes anywhere from 16-24 months! After VAWA approval, there's another wait for the adjustment of status!(i485) this takes about 8-12months to be processed! Now you see why patience is really necessary..it's a great move to distract yourself with work..and concentrate on healing. You will smile in the end!😊🙏

A pending i485 is what makes you eligible for EAD C9 category way before VAWA approval! So here's what you can do; you can file a fresh i485 based on on pending VAWA petition! It doesn't have to be based on marriage with your abuser anymore! When you file it, then you can get the C9 EAD!👍

If you have a pending l485 you can apply to obtain work permit now .If you don’t have AOS pending then you can file right now if your spouse is a U.S Citizen.

Like Sandra said above . You can apply for a new one if your spouse is a USC under category C09
