If your police report is stating a crime committed against you then the police report and shelter letter should be more than enough.USCIS maybe lost these documents or your attorney forgot to submit, but if your police report is just about harassment then the this report is not enough tho.

@sandranj I want to ask if the my previous NOA that comes with my last Ead can be used as extension letter for 180 days ..it states there that I can also use it for extension while waiting for my renewal card ...

I have a question concerning how long does a person have to answer a RFE?. I am still gathering some documents. I dont want to mess this. Anyone with an idea? The rfe I received doesnt specify any time.

They usually specify a timeframe! I remember mine was about 84days..so just play safe by sending their response in on time! If you can do it under 60days..or less please do.

The police report was about harassment maybe that's why they asking for it again or maybe my lawyer didn't send it at all. But I have a copy of the report I will submitted and see again. Now I'm trying to get the evaluation done and hopefully that may help me also. Can I go to any psychologist or does he has to be someone specialized in VAWA?.

Let me see if I can help clarify this confusion one more time..when you send out your EAD renewal application, they send you an NOA! That is the document that is valid for use as 180 days extension. You cannot use NOA from another application to use for a different petition! It won't be valid. So for your case if the NOA you have is for the current EAD renewal pending then yes it's valid..but if it's from a different application like I stated then its invalid! I don't know how else to put it but I hope you understand now!😊👍

No you can NOT use that. 

 

File Form I-765 for renewal your current EAD. USCIS will send you a new receipt with a new case number and that can be used as the extension.

So my congresswoman sent an inquiry to my Local Field Office about my pending I485 and this was the answer...

 

The applicant will be scheduled for an interview as soon as a date becomes available."
