@sandranj

I know I created a mess by filing my I-360 twice. I know that I have  both of them pending, Petition 1 and Petition 2 having their separate numbers. I sent a letter to USCIS asking them to cancel Petition 1. Now I see that USCIS mailed me a RFE for the first petition (they did not cancel it yet). What do I do? Do I answer Petition 1 with the requested documents, or just do nothing letting it to be denied or canceled by USCIS (whatever comes first)?

A request for evidence from USCIS was sent to me before they received my letter of refusal of the Petition 1.

Thank you.

If you were sent a REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE before the letter for cancellation was sent to them to for the first application, I’ll say answer the RFE . I remember someone or Sandra said to you to cancel the second application and not the first one .

No.
First, a letter was sent to cancel the 1st petition.
Then they sent a request (I have not received a paper request yet)
A request was sent to me before they received my letter of petition for the cancellation of the petition 1.

I was  advised to cancel one of these petitions — any! they are the same practically.
The second is a bit more information, so I wrote a letter to cancel 1.

Wait for the RFE. Did you enter the receipt number of petition 1 so they know to cancel petition 1? Wait for the rfe i hope petition 2 receipt number is written on it

Thanks for the answer
No second receipt number is not indicated there. To avoid unnecessary mistakes. I have written only the number that I ask they to note.

This is what I was advised here.
That it is impossible to unite affairs. I agree, because it is not in my rights to indicate how they should work.

do you think this form is very essential part of the I-485 packet

If you are not using the current form that included the 325a information, then they will reject your application.  or if you do not fill it out completely, they will reject your application.

I have a question, the timelines on here are all over the place. I see people who filed VAwA in 2018 being approved and 2017 approved. What year are they actually working on? Are they really skipping around like this? I skim through some posts where people are waiting since 2016 and 2017. I saw someone mentioned approval from May or so in 2018, is this right?
