Again I came up with a question for myself, reading this topic
sorry
Do I have to request a police report from the US cities where I lived with my husband. About me!

I believe it's different for people petitioning from abroad...most folks here applied from inside the USA..I'm not so certain..but incase you need it..then you can get it if you lived 6months or more in the location.

Supply them with every evidence within reach and use the power of the detailed affidavit to give them closure! That affidavit is an opportunity to explain your peculiar situation. Why you don't have some documents..irregularities, infact it sheds light into a situation! For those of you wondering what to do whereby there's no supporting documents/evidence use the affidavit to weave up magic!😊 tell your story! It will end beautifully!💙💜🙏🙏

Hi dear. My affidavit is super detailed but I’m concerned whether USCIS will have a problem with him spending most part of the time out of the state.

I agree with you. Hope USCIS agree too 🙏🏻

They are trained..believe that and put your trust in God!🙏 so what is this I'm hearing now...your husband married you before he got a divorce? No alarm though..if it was unknown to you..I've read somewhere it wouldn't pose a problem..but wow! So many terrible people roaming free!😳😩

Sorry my mistake. We got married after he got divorced. When we were dating he was married but I didn’t know that.

Friends. Need suggestion.

USCIS just updated processing time for I360 and they are working on Dec 22, 2017 cases. However, they received my case on Dec 19, 2017 and notice date on my I767 is December 26, 2017. My case is now outside processing time. Since i received RFE so it might have delayed my case further. I want to ask if I can wait till I get approval or I should submit an inquiry? I don't mind in waiting as far as I am working. what do you guys recommend?

USCIS usually after receiving an RFE respond and are satisfied they will make a decision on a case, even if they delay on do in it... You case is on queue being review!! I recommend to wait for prudent time for a decision.

I agree. I do not mind in waiting but i see a lot of cases they are not updating a status on their website. this makes me little concern

Don't worry if RFE was sent your case in being worked on, you should received a decision any time soon, sometimes is background checks delays.

There are various things you need to show. One is residence with abuser another is good faith marriage. Its good that they are not asking for residence with abuser in the RFE but that does not mean they are necessarily satisfied on it. Try not to worry about the residence with part as they are not asking about it right now but keep in mind what Sandra posted- if they do ask about it you may not be able to prove such to their satisfaction...

While many of the same things can show both residence together and good faith marriage they are two separate things. For good faith-  the idea is to show that the couple intended to make a life together as husband and wife and not to cheat immigration law. This can include birth certificates of children (if applicable) photos, cards/letter/emails, joint financial stuff (property/accounts/taxes) and declarations from yourself and others.

You want to show that you shared financial responsibilities, that you shared life experiences, that you had plans for the future together. Try to cover as much of that as you can in an affidavit.

Good moral character is shown with police clearance letter (or state criminal record check) and affidavits from people that can vouch for your GMC. Good people to use for this are employers, clergy, social workers, teachers, etc, but it can also be friends or family. Its better to get the statement from someone whos profession has 'moral standards' so to speak as it makes them more credible. A priest is unlikely to lie in a statement and its assumed they have a good grip on what makes someone have GMC. So getting a statement from a priest will carry more weight then one from your sibling.

There is a chance that your police clearance was misplaced or overlooked hence they are asking about it again, but try to send something additional with it and not just the same you already sent in case they didnt misplace it but are looking for more. This may be tied to the residence with abuser angle. Perhaps they are looking for police clearance for where he lived in the US? If you can get one from there then include it, or if not perhaps the state criminal check in addition to affidavits and the police clearance you already sent.

Wow.. thanks alot for taking your time to write such a detailed explanation and information. Will definitely follow it.

ThankYou.

try to contact the city police department where you visited. show them your US visa and they might help you. explain them you stayed in the city for maximum of 4 weeks and they can pull up your name and find no records of any criminal activity. try that

Thankyou. I will try to do that.
