Idk why but I California DMW issued me a DL for 5 years...I was really surprised, because I moved from Florida and in Florida they issued me one exactly till the date of EAD expiration. Was it a mistake in California or just different rules in different states?

Here in NYC is also for 5 years, but they write Temp Visitor until... EAD expiration date.

I read a question about a driver’s license. And I also thought about a driver’s license. My driver’s license was issued for a period of 1 year.
When I will be in the USA, am I rained to take theoretical and practical exams again?
Or will they update it?

Hi dear. I think you have to apply it again depends on your state

Hello,

I received RFE for good moral character and good faith marriage.

The good faith marriage I was sort of expecting that because i never lived with my abuser in usa. I only visited him and since I didnt live in usa then we dont have shared things like mortgage, bank accounts, house lease, Bills or insurance together. And no joint tax since I work and live in europe. What I had was hundreds of phone calls and video calls  from watsapp. Which I already send. And pictures of our wedding in usa and 2 affidavits from family . I also send a copy of a gift he gave me.  It's hard to prove bonefide marriage if you dont live together.  I am just planning to add 2 or 3 affidavits from friends and family. And also send some of watsapp chats. I have send pictures. I  can add more pictures. I will also write another affidavit from myself expressing more in details absence of some of the things like lease or bank accounts etc.  Do you guys think this might be enough?. Am worried. Anyone in similar situation as me?.

About the moral character i had send a police clearence from my country. I wonder if they didnt see the  letter from police or what?. I had letters too from 2 people. I thought the police clearence showing no history of crime is enough. What more should I send?.shall I send the police clearance again. I have lived in same place for 10 years and the clearance was from that place. Any advice will be appreciated.

Also I am wondering does the affidavits have to be notarized?. Is it ok to send them not notarized?. The ones I already send were not notarized. The people who wrote them had attached copies of their identity cards. What do you think?. Anyone who has an idea?

Thankyou for reading. And I hope you can give me some advice.

Send a police report from a city where you lived in usa. Because it is crucial to prove your good character in usa

for bona fide- did you submit your marriage certificate? Also, send some conversations you had with his family, detailed affidavit regarding your relationship with the abuser and proof of living with him when you were in usa.. if you have married even for few days, where did you stay with him? Proof that. Contact the apartment where you lived with him they might provide something and any hotel receipt might work

To apply
Do you mean that I have to pass the exam again and the US DL will no longer be valid?
Can't they be updated?

I think yes or i am not sure.

Thankyou for reading. And I hope you can give me some advice.

Describe the Courtship and married life, places you used to go together, restaurants you  used to have dinner out etc. Explain how was the relationship dynamic while dating and  after you got married. Explain how often you talked to him and for how long. How many times you met his family and vice versa. Mention where and when you met his friends and vice- versa. All these things you should mention before and after marriage.

But you need to know that USCIS denied several cases of people who didn't live with the spouse. There is one decision from the BIA stating that I am putting bellow. This person  had an attorney and filed VAWA and THE Vawa WAS  denied , her attorney filed an appeal and the appeal was denied as well, she contacted me but I declined to help her.

" For a self petition to be approved you must resided with your spouse during your marriage. Please note INA 101(a)(33)states" "The Term residence means the place of general abode; the place of general abode means the place of a person means his principal, dweling place in fact, without regard to intent", and they denied the case because she did not share a principal dwelling together.

You must  submit  police clearance FROM ALL PLACES you lived in the past 3 years that you lived there ate least 3 months.
