I know it’s super late, but I can’t sleep right now. What website you’re using to check the status of your case? I just went back in Part 11 and someone mentioned the myaccount@USCIS.dhs.gov of which I never heard of. I signed up and it shows that as of yesterday “New Card is being produced”. I can’t let myself be happy yet as I am confused, I don’t know if this site is legit, as on my other USCIS account it doesn’t show any activity after the interview . Anyone who uses it, can you please put my doubts at rest? OMG! Please make it be true.

Hey Congratulations. Yes myaccount@ sometimes updates before the other Uscis account, this happened to me with my EAD, one account made the online update and the other one did not.... So is certain true... Journey has finished...

So basically the Detailed  pyschologist evaluation and my DV shelter record and DV advocate letter and the doctor who assessed my injuries - all these are basically waste ? they are all dated back in past
can’t use any of them ?

Yes. You can use previous evidence since they did happen during your marriage, even before AOS

AOS is to legalized your status in USA, but your marriage is valid the date you entered in it. Also the USCIS website, said you can submit any credible evidence relevant to your application if seeking to remove condition on a waiver base battered or subjected to extreme cruelty. The evidence you may not sent of abuse if they happened before you were married, this ones will not be valid or relevant to USCIS.

If you are filing a waiver of the joint filing requirement because you and/or your conditional resident child were battered or subjected to extreme cruelty, did you provide the following?

  • NOTE: With respect to abuse waivers, you may file your form with any credible evidence relevant to the application. The determination of what evidence is credible and the weight to be given is within the sole discretion of USCIS.
  • Copies of the front and back of your Permanent Resident Card
  • Copies of the front and back of the Permanent Resident Cards of any conditional resident children you are including in your petition (if applicable)
  • Evidence of the relationship
  • Submit copies of documents indicating that the marriage upon which you were granted status was entered in good faith and was not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws. Submit copies of as many documents as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date.
  • Evidence of abuse
  • Your final divorce or annulment decree if your marriage was terminated by divorce on grounds of physical abuse or extreme cruelty
  • An explanation for the reason you are filing separately from your primary conditional permanent resident parent (if applicable)
  • Dispositions on criminal charges, arrests, or convictions (if applicable)

You may also be able to apply for I-751 to remove your green card condition early kindly read this

Hope this help.

Thank you! You set up an account, apparently there are 2 websites where you can check the progress of your case. till now i've been using https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do but there is another one where you can sign up as well: https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ and how @Stillwinning!!!😊 and @FeDaniela said it has  more updates, and some of the dates are different too.

Hello guys,

Hope everyone is doing well. Just here keeping the faith. I have been a silent reader but just wanted to share that I just got my NOA. I filed my VAWA on 10/02/19 and just got the receipt notice. I wonder what’s next?

Hey Dordor1 it's been really a while. Congrats on that step forward. Did you get a prima facie alongside the NOA? Probably that's next! Otherwise you sit tight and wait for adjudication.😊👍

What is a prima facie? I actually got two letter. The original NOA and another that says it’s a courtesy letter but is basically saying the same thing as on the NOA. Will I see prima facie on the letter?

And thank you. I appreciate your help.

Yes it's indicated therein. Not everyone gets the NOA and PF simultaneously. You probably might get it soon as they do an initial check of your documents. It basically says..a prima facie determination has been established on your case...it just means that your supporting documents meet the requirements to qualify for VAWA.

Ok, thanks for the eye opener.
