Other than you saying she needs to re establish us domicile. This was a major point of contention for us.

So yes, it is a standard process but we don’t have to be apart. All members were saying that being apart is inevitable including yourself but this attorney has a way around which most people applying without an attorney wouldn’t know about.

Im not a professional in immigration, that is why I have chosen to hire one to make my wish and outcome happen.

If you read my prior posts,  us domicile doesn't needs to be reestablish until time of interview.

The process of reestablishing domicile takes on many forms.  Relocating is but one form.  This still needs to be done whether you use an attorney or not.  The process will still be significantly north of one year to complete

YMMV

Thank you for your insight. But as stated I am not a professional and do not know what forms of domicile are required. Forums like this a a great source for a wealth of info but there are too many opinions and different ideas where it can jeopardize our application for our outcome. As long as we don’t have to be separated and are advised by one professional for the process it is worth it for me to pay an attorney for our desired outcome.

A personal decision.   If you are more comfortable with a guide,  go for it.

Opinions are a shortcoming of a public message board.

The important issue is that the prominent attorney does not have some sort of magic potion to get around or even short cut the domicile issue.

I just need one direction to go, not twenty. I came here for advise and I did not get the answer I wanted for my outcome.

Nobody has a magic wand in immigration. For all I know she can just go visit her family in the US while I’m doing the Montreal interview. I’ll let the professional advise us on the best direction as they are experienced in this and have ways around the system and processes as thats what good lawyers do.

you sound pretty delusional, "ways around the system"? how naive, all they will do is charge you a price/quote on something that can be done easily by yourself, i wouldn't suggest a lawyer unless you have a very complicated immigration situation such as caught w/ drugs, jailed in the past etc

Yikes. ..

First- there are NO WAYS AROUND THE SYSTEM. Any attny that tells you they can get around the system should be avoided.

Second- Most VJ users are in fact 'experienced' having gone through the process.

You seem to be certain you want to hire an attny and thats your prerogative to do so. Just have realistic expectations. Once again an attny does not circumvent the system by any means.  Canada has very strict interpretations on domicile for whatever reason. Where in some places you can prove domicile simply by writing a letter saying you intend to move- in Canada they want more. Hopefully the attny can guide you on how to prove domicile with the least amount of separation. (you could get the same advice on here for free).
