Missing Priority Date

Hi,

 

Not sure how I missed this one... but I just noticed that my NOA1 for the K3 visa does not have a "priority date." It has a "Received Date" & "Notice Date." Is the Notice Date the Priority Date?

I think the Priority Date are the ones that requested the speedy service through the emergency means. I could be wrong though.

 

My husband doesn't have it either, so it's normal imo.

K3 does not have a priority date because it is a NON Immigrant Visa.  It does allow you to Adjust Status.

So I guess the people listing their 129F PD are using the Notice Date.

The PRIORITY DATE is the date the NVC uses in immigrant  or Employment based VISAs which must be current to obtain a VISA.  It is not relevant in a spousal visa CR1/2 or IR1/2.  The action dates for priority visas are in the State Department's Visa Bulletin. Think siblings, parents, etc.  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2020/visa-bulletin-for-october-2019.html

 

There is no emergency 'dates'.   You can ask to have a petition or VISA processed on a EXPEDITED basis if one qualifies.
