Hi Friends!

I am in the process of bringing my mom to the US as a PR and would like to know if any of you have ever added your PFL (Government Unemployment Compensation for maternity or paternity leave) to your I-864 as part of your total annual income? I was out on maternity leave last year, my employer paid part of my salary while California paid a small percentage of it. Should I add this to the I-864? I mean ...I did get paid by the gov... not too much but I had to include this income to my taxes. I am just scared that this inclusion will be considerate as a gov. assistance  which could cause a possible desqualification to sponsor a new immigrant as of 10/01... I hope I make sense here and hope that one of you can share your experience with this..

Thanks a lot

Drie
