Hi. I have a question is it possible to have my wife do the medical while NVC is still reviewing the documents? If so how do I go about doing that? I know medicals are good for 6 months for departure if I read correctly.

St. Luke's requires:

"Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) or Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy or Appointment Confirmation from the Call Center"

If you have either of those then there should be no issue with completing the medical.

If you are trying to save some time, once you have your interview date (scheduled by NVC) and your case file is at the embassy, you can reschedule to an earlier date, if one is available.   There is info in this link under the Interview Schedule tab.

Yes sir. She did that long ago. Just the medical and interview left.

I don't foresee any issues with the nvc stage it will be approved once reviewed. So I figured if I can get her do the medical then. All we have to worry about is the interview and waiting for the visa.

NVC doesn't get early interview dates normally,  once CEAC status shows READY you could check into an earlier date .. this could save you the most time.

Earlier Appointment Scheduling
If you case file is already at USEM, you could schedule an earlier interview appointment.

"Immigrant Visa applicants who already have an interview appointment scheduled by the National Visa Center (NVC) should refrain from scheduling an earlier appointment through the Visa Information and Appointment Service Center without first checking to make sure Embassy Manila has the physical case file.  While we are happy to accommodate earlier appointments, we are only able to do so when we have already received the physical case file from the NVC. When the physical case file is either still with the NVC or in transit to Embassy Manila, we are unable to grant earlier appointment dates. This is because we need the physical case file to conduct an effective visa interview."

Scheduling the Interview:

By Calling (632) 548-8223, (632) 792-8988.  This service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano-, or Cebuano-speaking operator.

Applicants, agents or petitioners calling from the United States may also use this service by calling (703) 520-2235.

I'm scheduling my own appointment. I was approved with expedite with conditions on the nvc stage just before my payment went through. Just idk if I could change the appointment  once I make it. And I was told that nvc still needs to process the the documents and that means staying in the regular queue till they do.

Ah .. cool!    Yes you need to wait for NVC to complete their processing and CEAC status showing READY before you can schedule your interview, pretty much the same as the info I gave you already.

I'm ready but seems like they are backed up on reviewing Aug 9 submissions.
