what DS-169 stand for ?

In the internet I have noticed that the DS-169 is included with the forms that must be sent to NVC so is that DS-169 necessary and what is its purpose ?

DS-169 is form that has checklist asking if things by the bennificiary have been gathered and are ready for interview.

Typically, police certs, birth certs, marriage certs, divorce certs, death certs ect...

There is no such thing. Originally designated OF-169, now designated DS-2001, Visapro mis-labels it.
