I-134 full name signature? Affidavit of Support questions

Hi, I’m the petitioner and I was reading about the I-134 on the USCIS website and saw this:

You must sign Form I-134 in your full name. (Note: Signing Form I-134 is under penalty of perjury under U.S. law). For this reason, you do not need to sign Form I-134 in front of a notary or have your signature notarized after you sign it.”

So, if I’m filling this out and my signature is a design that’s completely unrelated to any of the letters in my name, but it’s my signature and I sign everything with it, I even signed the I-129F with it and it was approved, do I need to invent a new signature that includes my full name and sign the I-134 with that in the signature field instead of my actual signature? Thanks

Your signature is your personal mark.   If you want your signature to be an "x" you can do it.

Sign as you would any other document.

As an aside,  my signature is totally illegible.   However,  I know it what it looks like, because it is MINE.

YMMV

okay good, so i'm assuming when they say sign with my full name, they want me to write my name at the beginning when it asks for my full name with black ink or something?

I simply signed my normal signature,  which is not anything near my FULL name.

YMMV

When I look at page 5, item 6, I don't see where it asks for you to type your name in the signature block.  It simply asks for signature and date

YMMV

no not the signature block, the very beginning of the i-134. where it asks for your first middle and last name. should i write that in with pen so i technically "signed my full name" like they asked?

Just prepare the form as you would any form.   If you are using a fillable pdf, just type in your name as required

YMMV
