New guy here. Greetings and thank you (!) everybody for participating. I've already found some invaluable info here.

So, I'm filing an I-130 (my wife is the beneficiary). I have the checklist here bookmarked. Here's the evidence I plan to submit:

  • Marriage certificate (duh), although that's required, not really evidence
  • Our lease, which is in both of our names
  • A statement from a joint bank account
  • Travel itineraries and credit card statements showing 2 trips to Czech Republic (one for a family wedding, at least in part, and one for my father-in-law's funeral)
  • My health insurance card, showing that my wife is a dependent (boy I hate calling her that, but that's what the insurance company calls it when she's on my plan)
  • Some receipts showing that I've paid for veterinarian bills for her cats (who have obviously Czech names)
  • Photos: I have photos from our first trip, from our wedding, from the zoo, from NYC, Washington DC, Baltimore, and more.

Is there anything I'm leaving out? Should I get a few affidavits as well?

Nah, you’re good, man. It is very easy to get the I-130 approved. The Embassy interview is a different animal. But you’re doing good and on the right track. Just keep spending time with each other and be mindful about keeping evidence. You will be fine.
