Bad ancestors: does the climate crisis violate the rights of those yet to be born?

 

This is a classic example even though I would guess the author is oblivious. So basically there should be a legal action, I seriously doubt she has thought this through. She acknowledges her use of Airplanes so can I sue her? I have a feeling that there are many positions she holds on other topics that I could reasonably argue would have a future negative effect.

I recommending going on google scholar and reading up on those periods and why the things were the way they were and how it is different now. And it is very clear we are to blame for a lot of it.

I always wonder who is speaking for those yet to be born regarding the enormous debt these “green” technologies and plans will cost?

I wouldn't recommend Google for anything not if you want unbiased and unfiltered (read skewed) search results. I would recommend a good Library with access to multiple scientific databases. All google will give you is recycled opinion pieces masquerading as "science".

 

We are responsible for a lot of water, air and solid waste pollution, but it's the sun that is responsible for climate change. Oh I believe there is climate change. There's plenty of geological evidence to show that. What I don't believe is there is any accurate evidence that it's caused by people.

If we don't invest in them eventually there won't be any "yet to be born".

Humans are very adaptable, I don’t see the entire race dying out with a possible 1.5C increase, but who knows, an asteroid could hit the earth tomorrow putting us into a deep freeze ice age, and that would certainly kill off a lot of the human race.

Then go ahead and go there if you feel more comfortable with that. 

 

The sun is not responsible for climate change. We are in a period of lower sun activity and another reason why scientists know the sun isn't responsible is because the upper layers of the atmosphere is cooler than the lower layers. If the sun was to be blamed we would have warming all the way down.

Probably not, there may be snow but too early for things to get covered normally.

The changes are so fast there's not much time for adaptation. Parts of the earth is already becoming close to inhabitable due to climate change.
