I am sorry, is that family friendly?

I told him I was disappointed in him but I couldn't exactly disagree. It devolved further from there, I'm afraid, because he knew it was winding me up even more. That is probably even less family friendly!

S.B.? The dreaded sideboob?

The general overarching theme was about Mr. Pelosi's preferences in body types. I made gagging noises -- it was like someone talking about my grandmother -- so your vomming would not be out of place!!!

So last night Alex and I were on the phone discussing the day's events (it is our last week before he moves in with me temporarily until we find our new place together), and we were talking over this AP article about it. He asked me for my opinion, because while he is taking a keen interest in American politics, he isn't completely familiar with all the ins and outs yet. So I spent about 5 minutes explaining what had happened, and possible next steps, and that this was only an investigation and not the actual impeachment, and he just kept saying, "hmmm" and "go on."

And at the end of my speech, which was pretty heartfelt, I asked him what he thought about the article. He said well, I'm looking at it and all I can think from looking at the photo is Pelosi has a rather large pair of baps, don't you think?

😕

I may look sweet and unpretentious, but I know how to fight dirty.

How else do you think I got all that sweet, sweet alimony and that large lump sum in settlement? :D

What you don’t understand is he can be impeached and still pardoned. Impeachment means little - think of it as a grand jury and nothing more.

Ford pardoned Nixon right after taking office when Nixon resigned in disgraced but he didn't pardon him being impeached as Nixon never was impeached.

Impeach all you want but you ain't removing him from office so it is a waste of time just like when it was done to Bill Clinton. Trump is POTUS till 2024 and Hillary still lost.

The public are largely against impeachment. The Democrats are largely against impeachment. The Speaker of the House was against impeachment until yesterday. And even if they impeach, the Senate will do nothing.

I welcome this exercise in futility. The public will excoriate the Democrats. As much as I would have loved to see Mr. Trump going bare knuckles against a worthy opponent, he will now coast handily to re-election.

POTUS til 2024 indeed. Perhaps longer. We can only hope.

Hey, Boris, I know you're a new citizen and everything, but our President can only hold two consecutive four year terms. There's even a constitutional amendment (the 22nd) that states this. This isn't the UK, you know, where Thatcher can stay in office for like eleventy bajillion years. :P

A towering intellect you're marrying. I'd worry about the children, but you seem to take care of those little problems yourself.

Well, he used to work for Goldman Sachs on the quant side so he's not exactly an idiot. And we're still discussing children, thanks. My window isn't completely closed yet.

I agree. Trump was easily reelected if the economy stays strong but what the Socialists are trying to do now just reassures him a comfy reelection. Trump himself maybe can't run after 2024 but he can appoint his successor and that one can coast to election. The Democrat party is dead anyway and has been usurped by the Socialist/Communist party. Kinda shame that the Jefferson Davis to Kennedy party collapsed so thoroughly but my hopes are a 3rd party can make inroads now.

Absolutely. They're so riddled with corruption, and every time they should go one direction, they go the other. Did you notice how calm Mr. Trump was at his press briefing today? That was the calm serenity of a man who realizes he has nothing to worry about. It's not even 2020 and the Democrats have lost.

I wouldn't rule it out. He's laid the groundwork in his first term. His second term will show the results. An unstoppable economy, immigration solved, homelessness solved, housing solved, Washington solved, and US troops out of places they have no business being in. A constitutional amendment allowing him another term doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities.
